That was the original intent. It has been used on logging roads and trails a few times in Michigan's UP, but no water crossing, rock crawling or sand. Other than that, it has not been off-road. Family life took precedence. Rust: Like mentioned, there is some rust on the suspension components, I have added pictures of the frame, you can see there is almost no rust on the frame. There is some rust on the axles, differentials, and steering knuckles, etc. This is pretty typical. There is absolutely no body rust of any kind. Lighting/Switches/Wiring: Some have asked what all the switches are for. Most are extra. The only switches that are hooked up are the compressor switch. The OEM fog light switch turns on the fog lights. The safari rack was set up to plug into the trailer hitch plug, but I wired it for a Jeep Liberty we had for a while. A long pigtail is attached to all the safari rack so you will have a ground wire, a wire for the HID spot lights, a wire for the halogen driving lights, and a wire for the clearance lights. Wear and tear: Some have asked what is meant by light scuffing, scratches, wear. It is exactly that. There are not major scratches, certainly none that are down to the metal or primer, and most of the scuffs are still in the clear coat. The seats have no tears or rips. The only interior defect is that the vinyl shift boot has a couple of cracks in it. Nothing I have worried about. Swing away tire carrier: Again, it is Hanson brand. You can get all kinds of information on their website. It hold the tire, antenna and has mounts for a HiLift jack. Yes, it too has been line-x'd.
