I encourage you to come see this truck, hear it run, or send your trusted friend or family member to inspect this truck for you. Please make your best bid. Please only bid what you can afford to pay. This is my 1968 Ford F100 Custom Cab fleetside short wheel base pickup. The title is free and clear. 100% complete. This pickup truck has the V8 engine with the manual transmission. When I bought this Ranger awhile back I was told it was a 390 engine. The Vin# says it is a 360 engine. I am 1st and foremost a Chevy man. However, my big cousin had a 1969 F100 with a 390 in it and he would do a doughnut like it was nothing anywhere at anytime if anyone challenged him. This Ford caught my eye because it looks just like his. I had to put it in my project collection. I should have tried to start it along time ago. This truck was removed from an old home place. This is a complete truck that was parked near the barn and hasn't been driven since 2003. It will be hard to beat if you are looking for a complete unmolested F100 to restore. We can't find the key so the switch will need replacing, it will need a new battery, and I think the master cylinder will need replacing. It will need brake work. It does run. I just got home about 30 minutes ago, put a battery in it, rubbed some sandpaper between the point connections, disconnected the fuel pump, and ran a hot wire from the battery to the coil and solenoid. She fired right up. The old gas in the tank should be removed. It has a Holley 4 barrel carb. I will redo that process first thing tomorrow and let you know if she is smoking or not. I noticed no smoke tonight. I will also put it top dead center and determine if it is the original 360 or the 390 that I was told it was when I bought the truck for restoration. Oh yeah, the cab corners look really good, and there is some rust in the hood. Please see the photos or come view this truck. I will assist you or your transporter at pickup. A deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours after the auction ends via PayPal, Wal-Mart Money Center, bank wire transfer, etc. Vehicle can be stored for awhile if you need time to make arrangements for pickup. Please only bid if you can finish the transaction. This is a no reserve auction. Thanks. On Jan-15-16 at 09:00:26 PST, seller added the following information: I have filled the carburetor's front bowl up with gas several time and I am happy to report that this truck isn't smoking at all. There is no blow by smoke coming out of the oil fill hole either. She runs quiet. I also have determined that the fuel pump seems to be the reason this truck was parked years ago. I ran a line from a gas can to the fuel pump and it isn't working. She pulls off strong in every gear. The brake situation makes it difficult to move it too far. I made an attempt to try and determine whether or not it is a 390 engine or a 360 engine. I was told it was a 390, but after researching the differences online I have learned that it is hard to tell the difference. Everything on this truck looks original to me. The Holley cab and the tie down braces on the side of the bed are the only items I have noticed that aren't original. I am not a Ford specialist so let's assume it is the original 360. It runs good. We can't find the key. You will need to replace the ignition switch or consult a locksmith. You will need to fix the brakes. You will also need to replace the fuel pump. Bid to win. High bidder gets the truck. Thanks! On Jan-16-16 at 04:01:07 PST, seller added the following information: Several of you have asked about rust issues. The lower fenders on both sides will need patch panels. Please see the photos. You will not need the entire patch panel to make this repair. The lower bottom back of each door skin has about a 2x2 inch area that needs repair. Please see the photos of the floors. There is very minimal rust. The rust issues on this truck can be easily tackled by a willing amateur. It will be a piece of cake for any professional or any classic automotive hobbyist. The cab corners and rocker panels are very nice. This isn't a rust bucket. It is perfect for a shop truck. This is an original and almost 100% complete running truck. You can make an everyday driver out of this F100 or you can go all out with a full restoration. If you have anymore concerns please ask. I am ready and willing to answer any of your concerns. If you need additional photos please let me know. I could only post 24 in this listing. Thanks.
