This is a no reserve auction for a 1950 Chevrolet 3100 5 window short wheel base pickup. This truck is restorable. This is an original truck. You can decide to restore it to original specs or go your own custom route. No one has tampered with this truck's originality. The title is free and clear. Original 6 cylinder 3 on the tree, original frame, and suspension. The key is in the ignition. It needs cab corners and some floor pan work. Please see the photos and if you need to know about any areas that are not shown please let me know. It has great patina. There is a steel plate on top of the wood in the bed. The engine is supposed to still run. This truck came from a grandfather in Southwest Georgia bordering Alabama. I believe the truck came out of the state of Alabama. It has an old Alabama tag on it. I met him through his grandson. Grandpa told me that he had the boys replace the coil, put a 6 volt battery in the truck, and take a fuel pump off of one of their other trucks. He said the truck runs. I have not tried to do a thing to it since I have owned it. I have no reason to doubt his word. He has some very nice restored cars, trucks, and life has been very good to him. I believe he is an honest man. The truck has a brand new coil and the fuel pump is missing. No battery and it has an extra starter inside of the truck on the floorboard. I wanted to try and start it, but I don't have a 6 volt battery and I didn't want to burn up the electrical system using a 12 volt battery. If anyone knows a safe way to start it without damaging the electrical system please let me know. I have not bought a 6 volt battery or fuel pump. I have decided to let one of you have so I don't want to buy either. I have never heard it run, but I believe it does. I also realize that you didn't meet grandpa. You do what's best for you and your family as far as bidding goes. I am just letting you know what I know. There is an original fuel pump inside the truck, but I doubt it is any good. There is also a fuel pump on the engine on the back of the truck. I haven't checked out anything on that engine.It was on the back of the truck when I purchased it and he didn't worry about taking it off. It is yours if you want it. This was an extra engine left over from another truck project that they had restored. They went with a V8 and had no use for it and some extra seat parts. The truck will need brake work. The tailgate is on the back of the truck. I will assist you or your transporter at pickup. A deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours after the auction ends via PayPal, Wal-Mart Money Center, bank wire transfer, etc. Vehicle can be stored for awhile if you need time to make arrangements for pickup.
