Of The Three Porsche Speedster, Replica, Projects That I Have Previously Listed On eBay In The Last Two Months, This Seems To Be The Best Build. Same Story, Same Owner, Different Car. Nice! I Am Listing This 356 Replica Project For My Friend. This Porsche Replica Project Is Titled As A 1960 Volkswagen (Pennsylvania). I Do Not Know The Manufacturer And I Could Not Locate Any Tag Or ID Plate. It Has Been Sitting For 10 + Years. She's Always Been Stored Inside. My Son Got It Running About 4 Years Ago, It Ran OK On Old Fuel, Not Driven, Just Started, Cleaned Up And Put Back Into The Garage. I Did Get It Started Today, Jan., 11th For 5 Seconds On Carburetor Cleaner (off my jump box). The Lights Are Working, But Not The Turn Signals. The Hazards Do Work Though. The Right Rear Wheel Is Stuck (Brake) From Sitting. I Can Not Find The "Key Lug" For The Wheel Locks. The Seats Are A Little Loose And I Threw Away The Air Filter Elements.The Missing Door Mirror And A Few Other Little Things Are In The Trunk. *** This Car Was Nicely Done Years Ago *** But Is Now A Project From Sitting Too Long *** I Do Not Know What Performance Parts Are In The Engine, Not Stock, Engine #D1107553 The Suspension Feels Very Stiff Trying To Rock This Car From The Roll Bar *** There Are Plenty Of Goodies On This Wide Body *** Disk Brakes Front & Rear, Dellorto Carburetors, Electric Fuel Pump, Nice "Period Upgraded" Wheels, Sway Bars, VDO Gauges, With A Nice Wood Steering Wheel Complementing The Interior. This Car Was Originally Red, Purchased In California And (I Believe) Repainted About 10 Years Ago. The Pan Is Very Solid With Just A Little Surface Rust In Spots. The Fiberglass Body Is Thick And Has No Major Stress Cracks Or Gel Coat Issues. There Are Some Paint Flaws, But It's Pretty Nice And Will Polish Up Much Better. *** The Paint Looks A Little Weak At The Bottom Of The Car *** At The Bottom / Undersides Of The Rockers And Under The Door Areas. It Comes With Nice Side Curtin's / Windows And A Tonneau Cover. The Top Is Also Very Nice With A Clear Back Window, But Has Not Been Up. So It Probably Has Shrunk And Needs To Be Replaced. The Tires Are Old, Dry And Out Of Date. I'm Sure Other Areas Will Be Needing Attention And TLC. *** For Safety And Reliability Everything Should Be Gone Over / Replaced or Rebuilt *** I Have A File Of Larger, More Recent And Much Better Pictures (Dirty).
