For Sale is our 2001 Toyota RAV4. We are the original owners and purchased the vehicle new in 2001, and it has been a great car. It has recently been driven by my son, who has inflicted cosmetic issues to the exterior (as you can see in the photos). The engine runs fine, but the car needs the following work to be performed to pass Pennsylvania inspection, and my wife and I have decided to sell the car instead. -- needs new rear springs-- needs front brakes, rotors and calipers-- needs new front struts-- small exhaust leak in piping Also items that no longer function properly (but not needed for inspection): -- the driver rear window does not roll down-- the one-button lock/unlock does not work on all doors-- the lever for opening the gas door has rusted and broken off-- I suspect that the blower fan is having issues, because when it is first turned on the engine seems to bog, but then recovers. Either the fan, or the alternator/charger is starting to have issues. On the plus side: -- Engine runs great-- Oil and filters have been changed diligently over the years, with synthetic oil-- newer tires installed December 2014 It has a 2 inch trailer hitch. Car is sold as-is.
