Vehicle Detail
I am relisting this car for sale, the first buyer disappeared. The Nomad is one of the most collectible and valuable Tri-Five cars out there, only 8,103 were produced in 1956. This is not a handyman wagon, it is a true Nomad! It is also the most sought after factory color combination Matador Red/Dune Beige with matching interior colors. The Nomad carries the same interior and rear wheel sheet metal as the Bel Air. This is a prime car for restoration, it is not running but all of the parts are there and much of the body is still in good shape. It has been stripped down so and is ready for the body shop. The hood and the fender skins are in great shape and only need lower patches, the headlight buckets are solid. There is rust in the typical places (bottom of doors, roof, rocker panels, bottom of tailgate), the worst is the roof which would be best fixed using a donor piece. The floor is also in bad shape, it could be fixed but more likely replaced. Here is what you get with the car: original motor (power brakes and alternator upgraded), 3 speed automatic transmission, front and rear bumpers, grill (full width), interior and exterior trim, all doors, liftgate and tailgate, both original curved back glass panels (very hard to find),and both slider glass. All seats, all gauges, radio panel parts, heater are also included. There are too many OEM pieces and parts to list here, but there are many boxes full of stuff that has been collected over the years to do the restoration on this car. The engine is the original 265cc and has compression, but the transmission is not original to car therefore it is not a true numbers matching car. Restomod Nomads can go from $60-$250k depending on the finish. If you have any questions please just ask. In an effort to not waste anyone's time I have made 4 narrated high definition videos of the car, showing the good and the bad. I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting. This car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due immediately at the end of auction, remaining balance due within 7 days. Thanks for looking and good luck!.
