For sale is a 1954 Chevy 3100 5 window truck. It is a 1/2 ton short bed. Truck has been in my family for over 12 years. Purchased off a family member who needed to sell but don't have the storage space at my house with winter approaching to keep the truck. It has the original 235 engine in it and it is a three on the tree. Still has 6v electric, generator, and stomp starter. Truck sat at a family members house for the last two years without being driven. I put all new brakes, wheel cylinders and axle seals in the truck since it sat for so long. Due to sitting, it does appear to have some sediment in the gas tank. Placed a fuel filter on it, but at times it sputters like it is not getting enough gas. Probably needs tank replaced, lines flushed and carb rebuilt. Radiator leaks some and you have to "double clutch" when putting it into 2nd gear or it grinds some. I am unsure if the wipers work. Truck does not have a heater. I am guessing the odometer has rolled over at some point.It is not a show truck, but a solid driver quality vehicle. Someone did body work and painted the truck 12-15 years ago and did not do everything correct in patching and repairing the sheet metal on the cab corners, rocker panels and floor pans. They put new metal in, but did not remove as much of the rusted metal as they should have in the cab corners. You would never know with the truck on the ground, but when you have it in the air you can see it. Their work has lasted over 12 years and will be fine, but I want there to be full disclosure. It looks great going down the road and at a distance, but is not a perfect truck in regards to some cab rust on the underside. It is a driver and priced accordingly as opposed to a fully restored one at 15k+. Truck is sold as-is. An honest description of needs and condition is provided and thus all sales are final.
