I have one very clean, original and complete 1963 VW Beetle to sell immediately. Original black plate California car. Clean clear title in hand. Currently registered. I believe the mileage may be accurate and complete at 63k, but have no way to prove or verify. Chassis ID 5241122 Motor ID 7390491 Indicates a car that was completed in 1962 with a 40 HP 1200cc motor per the chart in the Muir book (book not included in auction) I believe this to be the original motor chassis combo as new but cannot verify or prove. Purchased new from Anderson in San Jose (plate ring included as photographed with front plate in the trunk) Was in Mountain View until about 2000 and has been in Santa Barbara since. 53 years old. There are small nicks, dents, scratches throughout. The right front was backed into at some point, front bumper is a little crooked. Needs a muffler. Rusty on the passenger side pan and battery tray, two small spots on the drivers rain gutter, running boards. Window seals are dry. What to address and how are choices that I feel best left to the new owner. I do feel that future money invested is well spent and will value to the car if done correctly. However, this is a car that you can enjoy immediately, as it is. Super fun to drive around, nothing but positive feedback. Brakes, including parking are in good working order. Stops well and straight. Newer Kumho tires with little tread wear. Motor starts right up and runs strong. Original condition under the hood as throughout the car. Shifts nice through all gears and will not pop out of any gear upon deceleration. Original 6V system. New battery, voltage regulator, generator brushes. All working and charging properly. Headlights work, taillights work. Turn signals and horn not working. Red and green light on dash both work properly, as does the blue hi beam light. Has been painted once, would take some wax and shine. The current flat brick red patina is perfect in my eye. The chrome is shiny and complete and correct and original. Interior wing windows work great. Windows roll up and down. Doors open and close properly. Unlatch buttons on handles work and locks lock. The interior is clean, soft vinyl, clean rubber floor mats, has every single knob, button, ashtray, etc. that it had when it left the factory. Seats slide and adjust properly, there are lap belts front and rear. The trunk in front is nicely detailed with the correct cover for the gauges, the plastic tank, jack, spare, etc. This is a nice car that will make you happy to own. I have seen very few cars in this original condition, not messed with in any way for all those years. It will sell with a very reasonable reserve price for CASH money, US dollars, preferably in person in Santa Barbara. I do not have a Pay Pal account. Don't bid if you cannot back it with CASH money.
