1968 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE.....cloned into a 1973 ......WHY ???......can,t tell you that.....fresh out of a 5year storage in garage......I will tell you what I know.......its a true 1968 convertible corvette......it was built in british green....code 983.....standard vinyl interior......car has almost no options......manual windows......manual locks........no tilt wheel.......no power steering.....no power brakes......the ft fiberglass has been changed to look like a 1973......the flairs and rear vents on the ft cap are 1973 looking......they also flaired the rear quarters to look like a 1973......side marker lamps ft & rear have the 1973 look.....doors are the original 1968 car.....the rear looks like they left it alone......the lid for the rag top & hard top looks original......most important they left the wiper door intact.....all the wiper parts are there.....hood is a big block that has had the emblem holes filled......all the headlamps pieces are intact.....headlamps,headlamp doors,looks to be in great shape....every thing is hooked up for the lamps......looking at this car closely I think it was not a wreck......someone wanted to customize it into a look -a- like 1973 convertible.....a lot of work went into that project.....and money I'm sure......car has been painted blue......now its painted red.......looks like gm victory red......guessing i think all this was done about 15 years ago from condition of top/paint/interior......it was a TEXAS car......it has a TEXAS title......frame and under body is very nice......no heavy rust like the northern cars.....the vin is 194678S402170.......some say it was a big block car......who knows ????.....I know it has a newer model small block motor.....the motor for sure has been changed......it has a Muncie 4 speed with a hurst shifter.....I can,t tell you if its the original Muncie.......the rear end assy looks to be original to the car but can't be for sure......interior is mostley stock.....key in dash......no glove box holder on 1968......fiberoptics on signals.....shift petals in working order....it has a 160mph speedo.....it has a 7000 tach......miles on it are 93,137......can't tell you that is correct.......the convertible top hardware is all there.....latches/arms/lifts/retrackes/......WOW.....its all there.....car will crank and run......that's about it.......sitting for a while.......brakes very soft.......car has a factory hardtop that goes with this sale......IM SELLINGS AS-IS.....the top bidder will get this car......that's correct....top bidder.......LOOK I HAVE NO RESERVE......WHAT ??.......that's correct no reserve.....car is located in ocean springs Mississippi.....I will work with you shipper.....AS-IS......NO WARRANTY......my cell 228-2360-5890On Dec-07-15 at 04:50:39 PST, seller added the following information: I want to add , the car also has NO a/c......heater only......it will crank and run......gears shift......brakes very soft......to the purchaser it will need a trailer ride to its new home.......not shown is the hard top.......its in very nice shape.....black vinyl.....all latches ......has headliner......good chrome trim......missing 1 cap at rear point.On Dec-10-15 at 04:52:13 PST, seller added the following information: I have had some questions about my contact phone no#......it is 228-236-5890......I have tried to add some pictures of the hardtop but I can't get them on this add........don't know what I'm doing wrong......car has 91 watchers.....lets have some bids.....again I will not remove this car from it's 7 day listing......I WILL SELL TO THE TOP BIDDER......thanks .
