Vehicle Detail
I bought this van from a very dishonest seller on EBay. How dishonest, you ask? It even had to be towed off the transport because clutch was bad. I planned to take a road trip with my dogs, but hurt my back and can't even get in it now. I have spent maybe $1500 in repairs, including new clutch, battery, etc.---have receipts--- but it still needs more work. Ask any questions you want. My mechanic has said I can give his phone number so you can call him with any questions beyond my know-how and any additional repairs it needs. It runs pretty well. It wants to stall when you first start it, so you have to keep the gas pedal depressed a bit, but goes fine after a few blocks. Tires are pretty good. It has all the appliances---fridge, stove, sink---but I have no idea if they work. A/C does not work; compressor is in a box, but mechanic says it is rusted and may not work. Needs new wipers. Transmission OK. Front bucket seats are leather, I think, but back seats covered in very flimsy and torn cloth. Van was really dirty when I got it. I did some cleaning, but it still needs lots of elbow grease. Some tiny rust spots on parts of the body, the wheels, and a large one near the rear window (see picture). There are extra curtains and a box of some spare parts, mostly belts, which I will include. Odometer does not work. All other gauges seem to work OK. I am not physically capable of lifting the roof, so I do not know if or how well it functions. I have not tried the radio, but I will try to do that before sale. Plastic weather strip torn on rear window; rubber guard missing on one end of rear bumper (see picture). I have not had it long enough to really tell you much more, but am including as much detail as I can. I am selling it absolutely AS-IS. No returns. And a note to buyers in California: I have clear title but it is not registered yet as I was fixing it up to pass smog test here. Did not pass a smog pre-test. CA law requires Seller to pay for smogging unless buyer assumes that responsibility. I cannot be responsible if it needs more work to pass the smog test. So might be best for buyer from a state with less draconian smog laws. Got license plate number assigned on the title, but the plates are not sent until it is smogged. $500 deposit with PayPal when auction ends and full payment within 3 days of auction end. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping.
