1992 Toyota MR2 2.2 L T top 5 spd manual trans with 109K miles. I bought this car about two years ago and since then I have put about 2K miles on it. Why did I buy it and why I am selling it? I am a new car salesman at a Toyota dealership and we took this car on trade in. This car was towed to our dealership since at the time it was not running. I told my brother about it and he decided to buy it as a project car. He bought it and never got to work on it, so I bought it back from him. I had our master mechanic to work on it. Long story short, it had a bad computer. So, he replaced the computer along with the following: A new timing belt, new front and rear brake pads and rotors, new window moldings, a new shifter boot, and a new set of carpet floor mats. Since then, this car has been running very well. I have taken it up to 105 MPH (Although it’s a scary thing to do with this tiny car) and no problems whatsoever. It definitely has a great handling. Why am I selling it? Well, I bought it with the intention of keeping it as a weekend car and put a historical tag on it when it reaches 25 yrs of age, however I don’t really get to drive it much mainly because A. I am 6-5 tall (260LBs) and its not the most comfortable thing for me to get in and out of , and B I have a three car garage but have 4 cars and one has to leave before this coming winter. Of course it has to be the MR2. I am sure it will be a great fun car for the right person. Specially being a manual trans with the T Top (not many of them were built like this). This car runs well, with no funny sounds. No leaks, and the two glass tops are in a perfect shape. It starts right up and everything works on it. Power windows, mirrors, cruise and of course a cold A/C. The air bag light has been on since I bought it.
