Here is a nice opportunity to buy a clean old classic. I am the third owner of this Mercedes I bought it in 2010 from the second owner who owned it since 1993. I used this car for a year driving 400 miles a week; then we used it as a courier vehicle for my business. I have always loved this classic W126 body style. For the past two years it has only been driven about 2,000 miles per year. It still runs and drives great but over the years I have let things go. At this point, I think it would be an excellent parts car or a daily driver depending on your level of content with certain things. It starts, runs and shifts out nearly perfect. There are no leaks in the engine or transmission. All fluids are clean and full. I have always been very accountable with oil changes. The interior is clean with the back seat in good condition, the pass seat fair and the drivers seat with some tears. The dashboard is free from any cracks, the wood is in overall decent shape with the center piece by the shifter showing the most wear from sun. All power windows, central locking system and cruise control are working great. The gauges are still bright and all of them working as designed including the clock and economy meter. The factory radio and amp are also working with power antenna operational as well. The sunroof slides back and forth and tilts up and down but needs a new seal it has shrunk and inhibits the full closure of the roof. The AC does not work, the compressor has failed. The smog pump has been removed. It has exhaust manifold leak which results in a ticking noise when driving. The body is rust free, the paint has faded over the years. All body panels are straight. All glass and exterior plastics are in good order. All interior and exterior lights are fully functional including vanity mirrors on visors. All lock cylinders and ignition are original and two original keys for the car will be included. It has factory chromed wheels with four matching Pirelli tires with even wear and about 40% of their life left. The spare tire is present with all original tools. This could be a good with some love and time and could be a great parts car to fully restore or repair what you already own. There is no reserve and this car will sell to the high bidder.
