Vehicle Detail

ABSOLUTE AUCTION High Bidder Wins - No Reserve - Bidding Starts at $1 Ford Escape Titanium with 294 miles! The Titanium Escape you are bidding on was damaged practically as it was driven off the lot at Brondes Ford in Toledo with only 294 miles on it! According to the vehicle history report (See Above), it was involved in a fender bender which the Vehicle History Report calls a "MINOR" accident. That earned it a Salvage title which they call a "MAJOR" title issue. Even so, they rated it pretty high at 86 with 88 falling in the normal range for a 2014 Ford Escape. I started to fix it myself by removing damaged (and undamaged) parts with the intention of bolting them back on along with the necessary replacement parts. Now it's up to you. Your new $40,000 Toy... SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED... Battery included. If you walk into your Ford dealer with $40,000 cash (tax, title and prep) you could drive off in a similarly equipped new Ford Escape Titanium Ecoboost Turbocharged SUV. ...OR... Win the Escape in this auction, bolt the parts back on (all parts not included) and enjoy a new premium SUV for less than the cost of a Nissan Versa. What's the Story? My son works for Ford. We "sampled" many new premium vehicles. The Titanium Model Escape with it's big touch panel and its many tech and luxury features... remarkable... as Ferris Bueller said about the Ferrari 250GT California, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." We didn't have the means. So I found one needing repairs. I was already in buying mode so I bought another! HIS and HERS new Ford Escape Titaniums. The one in this auction was the "easy" fix. It didn't need body work. Just bolt on parts, so I thought I'd do it myself. The sister car (not in this auction) needed extensive body work, so I took it to a body shop and paid them to do the work. Guess which one got finished first? Baseball happened. "If I said I'd do it, I'll do it! You don't have to keep reminding me every two months!" My wife gives me frequent gentle reminders about finishing my new Escape Titanium. I have come to the realization it ain't gonna happen. No time. Turns out my 8 year old is the next Derek Jeter. His team will have indoor practice evenings and weekends all winter. "C'mon, he's eight?!" Oh well, what are you gonna do? Well, finding time to build a new SUV is one thing I won't do. Escape Hatch! Your wife's Escape is done. We need a hatch! Apparently a professional body shop isn't on my casual timetable for project completions. I found a matching color hatch and rear door at one of my favorite auto part companies, but they're 3 hours away. Hey, I have a hatch and a door right here on my Escape. So, I had them swap out the hatch, rear doors and bumper cover from mine to my wife's new Escape. Bing, bang, boom... done! So, unless you're going for the Mad Max look you'll need to get those. Luckily there are a million Ford Escapes out there to pick parts from. You don't even need a premium power hatch with camera, because all of those features are on the damaged Titanium hatch included and could be put on a shell hatch. You could straighten it up and use the current hatch, but personally I like just bolting on a replacement and done. Full Frontal. Basically, all the plastic and everything in front of the engine was damaged including the impact bar that supports the front bumper cover. However, the mounting brackets (tongues) that stick out in front of engine compartment are straight and great... they're ready for your impact bar and core support replacements to bolt on. Both front wheel wells are good and all glass was undamaged! One fender and the hood will need replaced, as well as, the breakaway motor mounts. The right side curtain airbags and driver's airbag are deployed. You could drive without replacing, but side curtain airbags are cheap and easy to replace. When they towed it from our place to the body shop they cracked the aluminum oil pan (a new one in box is included). We will not attempt to make a list of everything you will need/want to do to this vehicle. Maybe you will take this opportunity to customize it. Regardless, you will likely need more parts than you think and it will be more difficult and take longer than you might think... just saying. Could you bolt on a couple parts and a radiator and drive away? Yes, maybe, but that would be ugly. Not that there's anything wrong with ugly if that's what you're going for. I looked at it like this. The payments on a four year loan for a new Titanium Escape is nearly 1000 bucks a month! With a little effort you can find parts for pennies on the dollar. Buying parts as you find deals on them is better than committing yourself to a thousand dollar monthly payment! Bonus! It's not that hard to find deals on Escape parts! It is a very popular selling vehicle. Even the Options are Loaded with Options. Even for a Titanium model this Escape is loaded. Just three of the options found on this Titanium would cost $4,000 (Power Panoramic Vista Roof, Navigation System and Sony 10 Speaker Premium Sound). The Sony Premium sound system option is unlike any OEM sound system you've ever heard, booming and distinct. In the end you'll likely pay less for this vehicle than the value of its options. DIY Luxury. The tech and luxury features on this Titanium Escape 2.0L Turbo could make a Lexus, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc, envious. Those luxury vehicles cost twice as much... AND... you can't sweat equity your way into one of those. Even if you did find a similar new Audi Q5, Lexus RX or even a Porsche Macan that just needed some wrenching... the cheap parts are just not available for Mercedes, Lexus, Audi, BMW, etc. like they are for a Ford Escape. Like a Pro. You think those mechanics down at the Ford dealer are geniuses?...nope...BUT they do have something you don't. The Ford Dealer Service/Repair computer disc for this model Ford Escape. Way ahead of you. I bought one and it's great. It shows you how to install/repair/replace EVERY part on this vehicle! Step by step with pictures/drawings. It's yours. Inspection. I intended to be driving this vehicle soon, so I purchased the inspection certificate/receipt for Ohio already. If you happen to be in Ohio you can have this paid certificate/receipt. It never expires. Just keep your receipts for any parts and take them with this paid inspection certificate to your local inspection station. They're not inspecting how great a job you did. They're just making sure you didn't put any stolen parts on your vehicle. Take the passed inspection certificate with you when you get your plates. That's how it works in Ohio and most states are the same. Done. Smooth. This Titanium Escape comes alive with a touch of the start button! No hesitation, quiet and smooth! When they hauled it they cracked the aluminum oil pan, so don't start again until you replace. The oil pan is easy to reach and I have replacement pan new in box for you included. You'll need to winch it on to the trailer/hauler. Payment and Pick up. Deposit of $500 by PayPal due at auction end. Balance due in cash at pick up. Pick up within 7 days of auction close. Vehicle is near Wilmot, Ohio in Holmes County, the world's largest Amish community. Convenient to Interstates 71, 77, 76 and less than an hour from 70 and 80. Near the intersection of State Routes 62 and 250. We welcome you to bid generously, but please bid only if you have the funds available and in an amount you are comfortable with spending. Thank You and Good Luck (not too good)!HIgh Bidder Wins - 3 Days Only Auction - Don't Miss Out
