We bought this bus a few months back from auction. It has been in a garage for the last 20 years, hence it is in really nice shape. Tires look like new. Runs and drives really nice. It has 4000 miles on the new motor. The receipt is a lot longer then what it shows, it's actually two pages long (the total is on the one receipt). The top is in good shape, there are a few very small tears but overall very nice. Brand new weather stripping along the top. All lights are working except turn signals and tail lights. Have not dug into it. Maybe fuses?There is a small rust spot on drivers side but not bad at all (maybe 2" long). The underneath is like new. Some of the clear coat has lifted, but you have to be close up to see. The speedo doesn't work (replaced the speedo cable but that didn't fix it) and there's a 10"? crack in windshield. There is a burn hole in the backseat. It says it has 83k but the people we bought it from said it has like 110,000. They put the motor in about 4K miles ago. And that was in 1997 . It's a diesel that gets around 29 mpg. Not a fast bus by any means, but that is typical. I can help make arrangements for shipping, but all costs to buyer. I'm told they only made the diesel in the US for one year. Rare bus and these are going to be very sought after in coming years with all the trouble vw is in now. Great investment, we wanted to keep it for investment but want to build a house. 1982 westfalia vanagon.
