Up for a NO-RESERVE auction is this 1981 Jeep CJ7. This Jeep is in unbelievably great un-restored condition. It still sports the original paint job from the factory and as you can see it must have been garaged most of its life. I did a quick buff job on the paint and it shines almost like new! The maintenance receipts and Car-Fax paper work I have on the jeep verifies the original mileage of 93,873 and that it has never had any collision damage, which is obvious when you look over this Jeep. This is a remarkably straight CJ7 with no rust whatsoever. The only flaws on the body are a few small dings that I tried to picture and an area between the drivers door and rear wheel well that has 2 very minor creases which I also tried to capture in the pictures. These are very minor and not that noticeable. The interior is in as remarkable of shape also. It has the original full carpet set and the original back seat that does have a split in one of the top corners that I covered with black Duck Tape. The original front seats were replaced with a set of new aftermarket Rugged Ridge seats that are in excellent shape. The vinyl dash is perfect as is the roll bar padding. This Jeep is equipped with a tilt column, tachometer and clock. The clock isn't working at this time. All the gauges work properly except for the oil pressure gauge, I believe it is probably the oil pressure sending unit. Occasionally the gauge will read high for no reason. The last drive I took the Jeep on, the gauge read fine the whole time. The original locking center console is in excellent shape. The original glove box has been upgraded to a Tuffy locking glove box. The original glove box door is included with the Jeep and is in excellent shape. There is a Kenwood stereo and speakers mounted in the dash and it works great. All the heater controls work as they should. The wipers (which have new blades installed) and windshield washer work also. All the glass is in perfect shape. Included with the Jeep is the Hard top and hard doors. The hard doors and door panels are in great shape. Both doors have a small stress crack on the inside at the wing windows shown in the pictures. Also included is a like-new Bestop soft top and all mounting hardware, matching full soft doors, Bikini top and a Bestop Windjammer and Duster cover which, if you're not familiar with, creates a kind of single cab by covering the rear passenger area and creating a soft wall behind the front seats. The original white spoke wheels are still in great shape and a set of 235/75R 15" all-terrain tires are mounted with at least 60-70% tread left. The spare tire mounted on the rear appears to be the original factory spare. There is a Tensen TX2 winch mounted on the front. It is currently unhooked from the battery but I did temporarily hook it up and it did operate from a dash mounted toggle switch. The Drive train is all original and in perfect operating condition. It has the factory locking hubs up front and the 4 wheel drive operates perfectly and the 4 speed manual transmission goes through the gears effortlessly with a tight clutch. It is equipped with power steering and power brakes with disks up front. The brakes work perfectly. The emergency brake also works properly. There is a locking hood latch mounted up front and a locking gas cap also. I have a folder of maintenance receipts from the previous owners and one is for a complete engine over haul in 2011 (approximately 10k miles ago) totaling over $2800. The original carburetor was replaced with a Weber carb and a K&N air filter. The original carb and air cleaner housing is included with the Jeep. The factory emissions system is still mounted on the engine, so I believe you could get it to pass the California emissions testing if you lived there (I don't know if it is working properly or not but the fact that it is there and hasn't been removed over the years is rare). There is also another Receipt from September of this year totaling almost $1600 which included a safety inspection, new alternator, fuel filter, water pump, fan clutch, radiator hoses, new valve cover gasket install, starter, serpentine belt and front brake calipers and pads. There are various other receipts for things such as new radiator, different seals, hoses, etc. It has a fresh battery and the original jack is still mounted on the front inner fender well. This Jeep was obviously well cared for and maintained its entire life. It runs like a top and is mechanically sound. Included with this Jeep is the original owners manuals also. I have a clean and clear Washington state title in my name ready to sign over to the new owner. It's not very often you find a CJ7 that hasn't been altered or customized in some way. This Jeep runs and drives awesome and looks great, a true survivor! It is a pleasure to drive.
