Here is a beautiful 1997 Mercedes E420 Sport Sedan. This limited production "Sport" model has a beautiful factory AMG Monoblock wheel, round fog lamps, and special lower body side moldings specific to the Sport Model. The 4.2 L V8 is powerful and smooth delivering excellent performance and a great ride. This engine was an excellent one for Mercedes and used over many years with only slight variations. In this case there are no leaks or issues and the engine is in excellent condition. Synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles and other maintenance as needed or scheduled. The automatic transmission is also in excellent driving condition; this is a 5 speed transmission which delivers power in all the right places and a nice high gear for cruising at low RPM's which equals great gas mileage. I average about 23.5 in the city and over 27.5 on the highway. Very impressive for a car this size with such high safety ratings. The exterior is finished in the original Desert Silver in overall great shape. As far as I can see the paint is the original finish with only minor blemishes that can be expected of a vehicle this age. All lights and glass are in tact and operational as designed. All four tires are matching and in good condition. This car is regularly used for trips between our homes in AZ and California. The interior has light Parchment leather. This leather is great shape and all of the seats including rear map pockets are genuine leather. This car was made when Mercedes spared no expense on interior luxuries. We have an 06 E350 and the leather and interior craftsmanship pales in comparison to this 1997. The wood is in excellent condition with no fading or other blemishes. Heated Seats, Bose sound with CD Changer, one touch up and down power windows, dual power seats with 3 position memory for both sides, two way power moonroof, cruise control and so much more! All in excellent working condition.
