I am selling a 1964 1/2 Mustang that I purchased on eBay with the intent of fixing up as an anniversary present. Needless to say, 2+ years later it still sits in the garage collecting dust, and in the foreseeable future I simply don't know when I'll have the time to devote to it. I had it shipped from Texas, and the previous owner claimed to have bought from a party in California, so I believe for the most part it comes from a snow/salt free environment. This is not to say it doesn't have any rust issues, as there is evidence of bubbling in the paint in a couple areas, and a small hole in the roofline on the passenger side (see pictures). It is equipped with a non-original 289 engine, 4-barrel carb, headers, dual exhaust and automatic transmission. All glass/trim are intact or present, the floors appear solid, but brakes are suspect so trailering would be the preferred option for transport. The engine runs but shows evidence of black smoke, so will need further attention/rebuild. I'm a very limited back-yard mechanic that does oil changes and brake jobs, but realize this exceeds my knowledge or abilities to restore on my own the right way...for the right person though this would make an excellent winter project with a potentially very nice and affordable outcome.
