Vehicle Detail
I have up for Auction a 1989 Chevrolet Scottsdale C/K 1500 Pickup! I received this truck as a gift back in 2007 and have owned it ever since. I've never done a Carfax or anything of the sort, but as far as I know I'm the third owner of this truck. It had 64K Original miles when I obtained it and i only put around 16K on it (80444 miles at this time). All of the parts that I've listed I put on back in 2012-2014 and know exactly what I spent, so understand that this truck is pretty much ready to go. The only major issues that need to be fixed are transmission, battery, and tires or wheels/tires if you don't want to get a set for the 20" wheels that come with it. I know/understand that this truck isn't currently running and I understand that it will drop the value some, but also keep in mind that I know what I have and also that i'm not going to just give it away because someone thinks they can be a wolf in sheeps clothing. I'm not a fool, so please try your best to be an adult and be reasonable, and I'll do my best to give you the same respect back. I just wanted to put that out there before I get a ridiculous amount of messages from foolish individuals on here. Now, there are a few minor issues with the interior, one being the headliner (needs to be redone, typical sag found in most vehicles of course this one has that same disease), I have the cap for the horn but one of the hooks broke so possibly you could repair or buy new. The seat is in perfect condition, you won't find the typical tear/rip/mangled by a cat type seat (i'll be uploading more pictures in the daylight to show the full interior, just be patient with me). The dash is perfect as well, no cracking/splitting/tears/cuts/anything. On to the engine, like I said for a list of new parts just scroll down. It's been a solid engine ever since I've owned it, no leaks/issues at all. Now, the only reason I installed so many parts is because of a FUEL pump that was an intermittent problem, and I ended up chasing down every part I could until I finally figured out that it was the fuel pump going bad. Finally, the transmission is a 700R4 and I'm almost positive that it's a torque converter issue, because when I reinstalled the transmission I used the old converter (like an idiot, I know), so you have the option of trying a new converter with trans./or going with a whole new setup. That's completely up to you. The rear axle/end has never gave me an issue and operates/functions just fine. The body is solid on this truck, absolutely NO RUST whatsoever, frame also!!!!!!! The front bumper and passenger side mirror are the only two things that need to be replaced on the exterior of the vehicle. The paint will need to be redone, etc etc... The truck will start with a battery, I assure you that! It has a set of 20" Panther Wheels on it but the tires are dry rotted, so they'll need to be replaced or a different set of wheels/tires altogether. This truck has been a solid little truck and I just never took the time or patience to fix it up the way it should be, so my loss is going to be a total gain for you!!!!!!! This would make a perfect little truck for a project or first vehicle for a teenager/young adult. Don't miss this opportunity to own a great little Chevrolet truck. These will be going with the truck as I have no use for them at this moment. I'm going to start this auction off at $200, of course there will be a reserve but it will be low, I promise! Thank you for looking and happy bidding!!!
