Some people would call this type of up grades Pro Touring. Past owner spent tons of money on this car. Corvettee engine, full frame, rack and pinion steering, tube A arms, coil over springs, 3.73 positive traction 9 inch rear-end, 4 wheel disc brakes and the list goes on. My son thinks this car is done the way Richard Rawlings of the TV show Fast and Loud did his Shelby Look Mustang convertible. If your a purest this may not be the car for you, lots of things are upgraded and changed. HISTORY: I bought the car restoring friend, he bought it from a lady from Crab Orchard, Kentucky. The car was built when he bought the car. A car like this can not be built for the price we are selling it for. Past owners have to spend the money and eat the loss. over 70 pictures below, just scroll down to see them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it very good. When you look down the sides the car is very straight, it is not wavy. The dark blue color looks just right with the black interior and black convertible top. The paint has a good shine, it has lots of metallic in it. I see no rust bubbles, no dents and no dings. Some of my close up pictures show a very little orange peel down low, it is very hard for me to see. WHAT TYPE OF FRAME DOES IT HAVE? Past owner spent a lot of money putting a full frame under this car. I looked on line to see if I could tell what the brand name it was and could not. Its the type like Art Morrison sells, they cost a lot. The original Camaro had a sub frame in front and a sub frame in the rear, they were not connected. The body could twist with the factory set up, so a full frame is a big up grade. "This is a strong and straight frame"! HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? It looks like new to me, no wear, no holes, no picks, its good. It is manual operated, but the frame is good and to me it goes up and down good. WHAT IS THE ENGINE? Past owner said it was a 2002 Corvette 5.7 350 engine. I did not look for engine casting coded, but it looks like one. These engines were fast, 405 horse power from the factory. They have aluminum heads, a coil pack spark system, and fuel injection from the factory. We all think it has a mild cam added, it has a good sound. The fuel injection has been taken off and a Edelbrock intake and Holley carburater added. I'm old school and like this better because I can work on it. A edelbrock timing controler has been added. The engine starts good and runs very strong. I hear no knocks or rattles, it sounds good. WHAT IS THE TRANSMISSION: Its dependable Turbo 350. Car does fill like it has a stall converter. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its a real nice 4 link setup, being a 9 inch. I jacked the car up and the rear-end ratio to me checked to be 3.73 to 1. It is a positive traction. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good, it is now a rack and pinion steering, it is power steering. The front end is not Mustang 2, its a custom from the frame builder, it does look like a Mustang 2 rack and pinion gear. Steering is a little heavy at low RPMs and parking, but good on the road. HOW DOES THE CAR RIDE? The A arms are upgraded to tubes and the car has coil overs for springs. They do ride firm with the coil overs, its not the soft ride like a original Camaro. Front coil over have firm springs. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Up graded to 4 wheel disc brakes that are power assisted, they are single piston. No parking brake, but the transmission seems to lock in park good. WHAT TYPE OF EXHAUST? Flow Master mufflers, full tube headers welded to the pipes, no tail pipes. It sounds good, it has a deep/loud Muscle Car sound. HOW ARE THE TIRES? Good tires, the fronts are 245/45/17 that look like 8 inch rims, the rears are 245/45/17 that look like 10 inch wide rims. WHAT TYPE OF WHEELS? 17 American Racing Torque Trust. IS THE CAR TUBED? Yes, thsi is to get wider tires. The job is very professional. LOOK AT THE TRUNK PICTURES! TURN SIGNALS WORK! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! BRAKES LIGHTS WORK! NO INTERIOR LIGHT! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! TACHOMETER WORKS! RADIO works, it is AM/FM cassette. Its not high quality, but it fills the hole with out cutting. GAUGES: Car now has a set of black face gauges in the same place as the old ones. The temp quit working, we didn't like the white face on the old ones, so we put black face in to match the dash gauges. They are now the 2 inch oil, temp and volts. HOW LONG HAS THE CAR BEEN BUILT? I do not have a clue. ROLL BARS: Nice ones, if you don't like them they can be taken out for labor. They are welded to the frame. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Here in Athens, Tennessee 37303. BOTTOM LINE: This is a nice car that cost lots more money to build than I am asking, past owner took the hit. Its not a perfect car brand new car, its a real nice car. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a 1968 Camaro convertible that is highly upgraded. Some people would call this type of up grades Pro Touring. Past owner spent tons of money on this car. Corvettee engine, full frame, rack and pinion steering, tube A arms, coil over springs, 3.73 positive traction 9 inch rear-end, 4 wheel disc brakes and the list goes on. My son thinks this car is done the way Richard Rawlings of the TV show Fast and Loud did his Shelby Look Mustang convertible. If your a purest this may not be the car for you, lots of things are upgraded and changed.
HISTORY: I bought the car restoring friend, he bought it from a lady from Crab Orchard, Kentucky. The car was built when he bought the car. A car like this can not be built for the price we are selling it for. Past owners have to spend the money and eat the loss.

HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it very good. When you look down the sides the car is very straight, it is not wavy. The dark blue color looks just right with the black interior and black convertible top. The paint has a good shine, it has lots of metallic in it. I see no rust bubbles, no dents and no dings. Some of my close up pictures show a very little orange peel down low, it is very hard for me to see.
WHAT TYPE OF FRAME DOES IT HAVE? Past owner spent a lot of money putting a full frame under this car. I looked on line to see if I could tell what the brand name it was and could not. Its the type like Art Morrison sells, they cost a lot. The original Camaro had a sub frame in front and a sub frame in the rear, they were not connected. The body could twist with the factory set up, so a full frame is a big up grade. "This is a strong and straight frame"!
HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? It looks like new to me, no wear, no holes, no picks, its good. It is manual operated, but the frame is good and to me it goes up and down good.
WHAT IS THE ENGINE? Past owner said it was a 2002 Corvette 5.7 350 engine. I did not look for engine casting coded, but it looks like one. These engines were fast, 405 horse power from the factory. They have aluminum heads, a coil pack spark system, and fuel injection from the factory. We all think it has a mild cam added, it has a good sound. The fuel injection has been taken off and a Edelbrock intake and Holley carburater added. I'm old school and like this better because I can work on it. A edelbrock timing controler has been added. The engine starts good and runs very strong. I hear no knocks or rattles, it sounds good.
WHAT IS THE TRANSMISSION: Its dependable Turbo 350. Car does fill like it has a stall converter.
WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its a real nice 4 link setup, being a 9 inch. I jacked the car up and the rear-end ratio to me checked to be 3.73 to 1. It is a positive traction.
HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good, it is now a rack and pinion steering, it is power steering. The front end is not Mustang 2, its a custom from the frame builder, it does look like a Mustang 2 rack and pinion gear. Steering is a little heavy at low RPMs and parking, but good on the road.
HOW DOES THE CAR RIDE? The A arms are upgraded to tubes and the car has coil overs for springs. They do ride firm with the coil overs, its not the soft ride like a original Camaro. Front coil over have firm springs.
HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Up graded to 4 wheel disc brakes that are power assisted, they are single piston. No parking brake, but the transmission seems to lock in park good.
WHAT TYPE OF EXHAUST? Flow Master mufflers, full tube headers welded to the pipes, no tail pipes. It sounds good, it has a deep/loud Muscle Car sound.
HOW ARE THE TIRES? Good tires, the fronts are 245/45/17 that look like 8 inch rims, the rears are 245/45/17 that look like 10 inch wide rims.
WHAT TYPE OF WHEELS? 17 American Racing Torque Trust.
IS THE CAR TUBED? Yes, thsi is to get wider tires. The job is very professional. LOOK AT THE TRUNK PICTURES!
TURN SIGNALS WORK! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!
BRAKES LIGHTS WORK! NO INTERIOR LIGHT!
SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! TACHOMETER WORKS!
RADIO works, it is AM/FM cassette. Its not high quality, but it fills the hole with out cutting.
GAUGES: Car now has a set of black face gauges in the same place as the old ones. The temp quit working, we didn't like the white face on the old ones, so we put black face in to match the dash gauges. They are now the 2 inch oil, temp and volts.
HOW LONG HAS THE CAR BEEN BUILT? I do not have a clue.
ROLL BARS: Nice ones, if you don't like them they can be taken out for labor. They are welded to the frame.
WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Here in Athens, Tennessee 37303.
BOTTOM LINE: This is a nice car that cost lots more money to build than I am asking, past owner took the hit. Its not a perfect car brand new car, its a real nice car. I reserve the right to stop this listing at any time, I sell most cars here at home.
