I'm looking to sell my 1987 Chevy, Custom Deluxe, Crew Cab, 2WD, one ton, dually, R30 / C30. It has the original 6.2 diesel with 95K original miles. It was a former Edgely PA Fire Department vehicle, so it was well maintained / garaged for most of its life. It runs and drives great, both tanks work, all the lights work, Heat/ AC work (just replaced heater core), has a working trailer brake, hitch receiver and just replaced 7 pin trailer connector. I buffed the paint and removed the remaining lettering that was on it, shines pretty well but not perfect. The body is overall in great shape, rear fenders in great shape, no major rust issues (which was hard to find when I was looking for this body style) The Flaws: the doors have some dings in them, there's dents and little bit of rust where the mirrors mount, the passenger side cab corner has about a 2" hole from rust, there is some surface rust around the driver side rear fender where it mounts to the bed, and the tailgate also has a dent in it. The body could be 100% straight and show condition with one cab corner, a tailgate, front door skins, and a small amount of bodywork. When I bought it there was no carpet so I cleaned and POR15'd (Brand of durable rust preventative paint) the floor and installed black carpet and insulation from LMC truck. I also POR15'd the inside of the bed which is in pristine condition, no dents or dings at all, protected by a plastic bedliner and aluminum bed rails probably since the truck was new. I lowered the front with western chassis 3" drop springs and in the rear DJM front and rear leaf shackle brackets for a 4" drop. The front inner fenders are currently removed as well as the front shocks which I have new ones in a box. Front and rear tires look practically new. I only drive it about once a week to keep it going and it's kept in a garage. I have owned this for about a year and a half and have other cars and projects going on so this is just waiting till I have the time/ funds to get it to show truck condition, but it could easily be kept as is and driven depending on the buyer.
