1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie SLT 4x4 with only 86,000 miles! This truck has the Customer Preferred Package 24G which includes: SLT Decor Group, Air Conditioning, Power Windows and Locks, Cruise Control, and Tilt Steering. Heavy Duty Service Group which includes: 136 Amp Alternator, Heavy Duty Cooling System, Auxiliary Trans Cooler, and Transfer Case Skid Plate, and Trailer Tow Group. This truck is in excellent condition for it's age. Everything works. The engine runs smoothly and quiet. The transmission shifts like it should as well as the transfer case and 4x4 driveline. The truck runs and drives like new. It has no fluid leaks of any kind except the intermittent one explained below. I strongly encourage anyone to test drive the truck. You will not be disappointed! I've recently replaced the front driver side wheel bearing, new muffler and tail pipe, new distributor cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. It has only a few spots of light surface rust with the largest two being the size of a silver dollar. No rust through anywhere. No bondo or body filler in the vehicle that I know of. I've owned this truck since 2006 and have had no major problems. I've used nothing but synthetic oils and have performed all recommended maintenance. Some additional items I've replaced on the truck include the front 4x4 universal joints, new battery, and anti-sway bar. There really haven't been any major repairs needed. It currently has an HID headlight system installed which can easily be removed and the standard lights reinstalled if desired. The standard headlights are in the glove box and included in the sale as well as an extra set of windshield wipers, oil filter, and touch up paint. I strive to be thoroughly accurate in the listing including all the good and bad of the vehicle. The negatives: 1. After the shop replaced the front wheel bearing, the axle developed an intermittent and slow leak. I think they stressed the seal when they were working in the area. Sometimes it does not leak at all for weeks on end. When it does decide to leak, it leaks 3-4 drops over the weekend. 2. I replaced the coolant and got air in the heater core. It will need to be bled. The heater works, but not as well as it should. 3. I mentioned the light surface rust. There are some very small areas (smaller than a dime) that I treat each year to prevent them from getting bad. There are two larger areas on the passenger side rear fender about the size of a silver dollar that I previously treated, but are beginning to have issues again. 4. It has a couple of small (smaller than a quarter) dings from shopping carts, car doors, or something. 5. The tires have just gotten down to the wear bars. They still look to have some life in them, but should be replaced in the near future. Those are all the negatives about the truck. Nothing hidden. I always like to know why someone is selling a vehicle, so I provide that info as well. As you can tell from the mileage on the truck, I don't use it much. In nine years, I've put 50,000 miles on it. I have four vehicles and have decided it is time to thin the fleet. It's time to pass the truck on to someone who will use it like it was intended to be used. The shocks are newer with about 30k miles on them.The belt, tensioner, and idler pulley were replaced last year.It has been several years since I've done the brakes, so I don't know how much life is left in them.It has a spray in bed liner (black) not visible in the pictures. The bed is not damaged.
