Vehicle Detail

The last great Chrysler! For your consideration is this outstanding example of a Gentleman's Hotrod. Although this 1965 Chrysler New Yorker took style cues from the 1961 Lincoln Continental it surpassed it in both style and quality. The unibody was tight and the torsion-bar suspension was less floaty than any of it's competitors. Both interior and trim quality would never again be this solid. It effortlessly glides behind the 340HP 413 CI V8 and best in class Torqueflight transmission. Replete with working power seats and elegant interior that is an homage to a bygone era. The car was bought last year after sitting in a barn for 30yrs!! Texas Car! It has new : Master CylinderBrake BoosterElectric Fuel PumpBrake ShoesCylinders in frontAlternatorRegulatorCarburetor is rebuiltVoltage Regulator Gas Tank removed and cleanedIt also recently received a Tune- UpExhaust is new from front to backOriginal Bill of Sale included from June 9, 1965!!Converted from points to Electronic Distributor (Proform 66995) None of the photos have been altered! This car is in no way perfect, but the pictures show what a gem it is. The paint job is an acceptable 10ft -er. There is a small dent as shown by the passenger door. Front seats reupholstered last month! The back dash is losing its paint; easily remedied by painting. Some cracking in top vinyl as pictured. It needs a new lock for the glove compartment. Headliner is perfect. AC has not been checked but will be listed as non working. As you can see, the rear bumper will need some elbow grease to get it shiny! Ignition coil should be upgraded to newer model since the car was upgraded to an Electronic distributor and with the added temperature the coil could overheat. AM radio works! It starts right up, but know that it is a 50yr old car, so a thorough inspection and continual care is always recommended. These cars were built to last and could easily be a daily driver! The car is fantastic! Perfect for photographing Pinup models! It growls and drives like a dream. I've just got an itch for a 1957 Chevy, 1964 Impala, or 1972 Chevelle as my next project and I need to make room otherwise I'd keep this beaut'. Car Sold AS IS WHERE IS with no warranty assumed or implied. Please ask all question before bidding! Car is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end early if sold. GOOD LUCK! **11th photo shows tear in front seat that has been repaired as shown on following picture. Both front seats reupholstered in September.** PLEASE LOOK AT ALL OF THE PICTURES- MOST OF THE QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED BY LOOKING. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. GOOD LUCK!!
