Vehicle Detail

Selling my personal 1996 Impala SS's that I have collected over the years. I bought this car from a car collector in 2006 (who worked at a Chevy Car dealership) and continued to preserve this car over the last 10 yrs. I am the second owner. I have a current Carfax, Orginal window sticker and a two inch binder of paper work from the car dealership. Selling it "NO RESERVE" to the highest bidder. This is the first time I have listed this car for sale anywhere and this will be a true highest bidder auction. I will be sold to the highest bidder when this auction ends. These pictures listed on this auction were taken today 10/04/2015. Car has just over 89k milesI have done some nice low key modifications to this car to improve the style and looks, that I think GM should of done in 1996. I am a full time Police Officer in St. Louis for over 20 yrs and a full time mechanic/collector since for 30yrs . I enjoy working on these Bbody cars and just recently built a 1996 Impala SS with a new GM crate LS3 525hp car that needs some more funding for a T56 installI do things right, spare no expense, with only AcDelco parts. Last month, ( I know this sounds very crazy!) but I replaced everything on this car that I thought might needed replaced in the next few years. I replaced seals, every gaskets, water pump, belts, Opti spark, Spark plugs/wires, bearings, brakes, fuel pump/sending unit, control arms, ball joints, brakes, radiator, all hoses on this car, just to sell to a new owner. I spent over $2600 dollars in AcDelco parts alone just to make this car new again. This car is 20 yrs old, but after what I completed last month, its brand new in every way. EXTERIOR: Original DCM (Dark Cherry Metallic) paint. never wrecked or damaged. Car has been stored in my garage a my car lift and driven only in nice summer days. Car has no rust including the known hidden areas on these B-bodys (see pics) Car has not seen rain since I purchased in in 2006. Car has never been driven in winter months. Has no door dings, dents, paint chips, or any problem areas. Paint is waxed at least every year by me and the by original owner. Has original SS wheels and original size tires in good shape. All moldings, trim are in perfect shape. windshield has no issues, all the other windows are tinted with 35% tint. The original owner added Leaping Deer emblems on each side and a Red Chevy Grill logo. All window work perfect and the roller have been replaced.I replaced all the GM Body bushings under the frame in 2010, by lifting the body off the frame very slightly, while the body was partly off the frame, I scrubbed and cleaned the entire underside of car and then coated with a paint called POR-15, which is some of the best paint ever made. (Google POR-15 for info) This was a huge job that took weeks to complete, but it turned out wonderful. (see pics) Installed sequential turn signal/brake lights on 92 Caprice tail lights. This looks awesome, (just like the new Mustangs) I'm going to try to link a video of this modification. Interior: Installed a new black 1996 Monte Carlo steering wheel with radio controls on the wheel that work perfect with stock radio. Installed leather Bonneville front seats on the Impala SS stock power seat rails, and added a Cadillac shifter handle. Car interior is near perfect, carpet has been covered with "plastic carpet runners" (see pics) since new and this car has original floor mats that are brand new. I added the custom made Impala SS floor mats see in the pics. All the interior lights work, at night, including the steering wheel radio controls. The door panels are perfect with no cracks or issues. The headliner, back seat, and dash are in perfect shape. I added a factory 6 disc CD changer that is located in the trunk, but controlled by the radio control. Suspension: Stock Impala SS springs with new four new AcDelco shocks, new body bushings, new upper and lower rear GM control arms with new GM bolts, new Upper and lower Ball front joints, new tie rods ends, new center link, and front wheel alignment. Drives and steers like a new car. Brakes: All new front and rear pads, rotors and front wheel bearings. New Stainless Steel brake lines. Rear end: All new bearings, gear oil changed, stock 308 gears with posi rear that works perfect. Transmission: Brand new GM factory replacement by original owner under GM warranty. New factory torque converter. Have receipt from install. Shifts perfect. Engine and Exhaust: Car does not leak any fluids, ac blows cold, heat works perfect. Installed custom made "Impala SS" polished fuel rail covers, Leaping deer logo throttle body. I replaced every seal, gasket, hose, belt, opti spark, water pump, radiator, oil pan gasket, all front timming chain cover gaskets, ect a few weeks ago. All parts only have a few miles on them. Installed new radiator, flushed antifreeze and removed Red stuff, Installed all new transmission, oil, power steering, brake , rear end fluids. Engine has a very rare set of coated Arizona Speed and Marine Headers with a new set of GM catalytic converters that I removed from one of my other 96 impala SS car years ago. I replaced the Oxygen sensors with AcDelco and the entire exhaust with a new 2.5 inch Dynomax Cat back system with polished stainless steel tips. Has nice deep rumble, but no loud. Installed new oil cooler lines and new oil filer adapter gaskets. Installed a cold air intake. Engine sound perfect, no noises, pops, or problems. Oil has been changed every 3k miles or every year. This car is legal in all 50 states, Headers have air pump tubes installed with air pump. Cats are in original locations. CARB sticker can be bought on ebay if needed. Paperwork: I have the original window sticker in perfect condition, the original sales brochure, and sale documentation. I also have a two inch service that has been done to this car by the first owner. He worked at a Chevy dealership and got tons of things replaced under the GM warranty before it expired.
