This is a very solid 1980 Fiat Spider that was stored for some time and needs some TLC. The car starts right up, but occasionally the key must be turned a couple times to engage the starter. The car always starts, it is probably a solenoid issue. The brakes stop the car, but are not 100% and will need to be checked. The CD player works, but the radio does not. The heater fan switch does not work and the wipers do not move. The pass side window only goes down about half way. The tires have plenty of tread, but are old and should be replaced. Those are the deficiencies I see. On the good side, the car is really solid. The top is very good with one small abraded area on the edge(see picture). Interior and trunk are also very nice. I think most of the paint is original. The drivers door looks to have been re-sprayed at some time. The car is black, which is a fairly rare original color. There are five alloy wheels(spare matches). The engine does not smoke or make any unusual noises. Overall, this is a great car to tinker with while you drive it. The floors and trunk are rock solid. It is very rare to find a Fiat as solid as this car. Payment must be made in full within seven days and a $500 deposit must be made via Paypal within 24 hrs of the auction close. The car has nicks and some small dents....it is a 35 year old car. Don't expect a perfect car, but it is very nice for the year. As I stated in the original description, the car is solid but needs to be gone over to correct some problems. The car was in storage for years, so all systems should be checked before driving the car. The battery is new. I think most of the car has the original paint, so keep that in mind. On Sep-24-15 at 05:55:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if the car can be driven home. This car has not been on the road for quite some time, so I would not advise driving the car until it has been gone over. The brakes will stop the car, but they are marginal at best. The tire have lots of tread, but they are old.
