Up for sale is a silver 2001 Toyota Corolla LE.The car starts and drives, has a new battery and oil has been replaced last week. 2nd owner of the vehicle purchased it in 2007 with 80k miles, since then all highway miles. Last year the owner of the vehicle had a stroke and hasn't been able to drive the car since. It's been garage kept for almost a year, taking up space and needs to go ASAP. Exterior - good condition, never been in a car accident. Windshield has a crack which has been there for years. Rear tires have about 50% life left. Front ones will need to be replaced soon. Interior - could use some cleaning, all power options work, AC/heater work, has a cd player. Known Issues: Check engine light has been on since the car was purchased in 2007 Breaks will need to be replaced ASAP The throttle cable appears to be looseThere is a rattling noise that tends to increase at highway speeds. I was told it's been like this for a long time and something to do with the suspension sway bar. The exhaust has black smoke that comes and goes. According to O'Rileys inspection it's burning oil although oil level appears to remain the same? Water doesn't boil (no head gasket/engine block issues). No visible leaks from the bottom. No issues with the transmission. The registration expired in 2014 and plates haven't been renewed. There is a clean title on hand. Car is located in Madison, WI and we obviously do not recommend driving this car for long until at least the brakes are replaced and the car is registered.
