Vehicle Detail

This is a very good daily driver quality vehicle. I have done lots of work on the car since I bought it such as : added a Melling high volume oil pump. Now she runs 60's psi at cruising speeds & high 20's psi at idle. As many C4 vettes report erroneous oil pressure readings from their digital dash, I added a mechanical oil pressure gauge so now I know that the above readings are spot on. I replaced rear main oil seal, put on a new performance flywheel and installed a new high torque starter for fast reliable starts. I had the HVAC control panel completely rebuilt, put in a brand new HVAC blower motor and had the AC fully charged. Now you can ride in cool air conditioned comfort. The tires at 40 to 50% and are on those beautiful updated Z06 chrome wheels. I replaced/added any worn/missing interior trim parts. I recolored the black leather seats so they once again have that deep black color. The dash has a handsome fitted carpet-type cover. Car has a good many miles but she'll still plant you in your seat, still got that grunt. She has many many more enjoyable miles left in her. just like that old saying ," If you take care of your car by keeping that oil changed every 3000 miles then your car will just keep on taking care of you".I've been driving her regularly in order to verify that she's all good. Yep, she is and she's averaging 18 mpg. that is not bad for a sports car !!! She has flowmaster exhaust and boy does she sound great. No smoking nor oil burning. Also I replaced the A-pillar weatherstripping on both sides for a nice watertight seal. She's definitely not a show quality car and still needs a little attention to cruise control and power locks. She also has some light scratches in passenger windows. But she has great cobalt blue metallic paint & handsome black leather interior. Each time I take her I take her out I get thumbs up from other drivers or comments wherever I go. "Great looking vette". I love it!!! I would keep her but have chance to get and refurbish an 82 so I just can't resist. That's what I do now since I have retired. I buy these older vettes, refurbish them and make'um into good daily drivers that even an average Joe like me can afford (the cool thing about that is people think you have a fortune in the car. I can't tell you how many people have seen me driving her and said "Retirement must be going great!! I just smile and say "Yeah man!!". I say let'um think what they will!!! Lol!!!) This one will definitely put a smile on your face and a rumble under your rear. Like I said, It's time for the next one. She's a beauty, look at pics and judge for yourself.
