Vehicle Detail

This is a 2000 Explorer with 2 owners. It is exactly what you might expect for a 15 year old Ford with slightly less than 237000 miles. The good news is that the vehicle is solid, starts and runs well and I have used it for the 4 years as a daily driver. There is no rust that I can see and all the body panels are straight. I have replaced the upper and lower inlet manifold gaskets (a common problem on this engine) and in the last 12 months fitted a new radiator and battery. The air blows cold and the transmission shifts as it should. 4 wheel drive high works but it will not engage 4 wheel drive low (I never looked at this as frankly I never needed to use low transmission). It has a towing package and the controller to operate trailer brakes. The power windows all work as do the power locks and the radio. As both of my other vehicles have built in GPS I am including the Garmin shown in the pictures. The bad news is that the rear wiper only clears a small section of the rear screen and it really could do with a new set of tires, although the spare looks like a new original. I am starting the auction at $100 with no reserve just to cover the eBay and Paypal charges. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and I will answer as honestly as I can. On Sep-13-15 at 12:18:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Clearing out my garage I found the workshop and owners manuals as well as the service history. I also found an oxygen sensor that I bought and never needed which cost $70 and a set of snow chains which I think were $169.99 new. All of this stuff is in the back of the car and goes to the next lucky owner. On Sep-17-15 at 06:16:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I am going to be out of town on a family emergency and I don't get back until Tuesday morning I will stay in touch with the winning bidder by email but we will not be able to finalize the deal until Tuesday afternoon at the earliest. I apologize if this is inconvenient. On a more positive note it was in the back of my mind that the alternator was letting go and I couldn't in all good conscience sell the car if there was a possibility of it giving up on the way home. I had the alternator tested and sure enough the Explorer now has a new 130 Amp alternator. I guess my pain is your gain. The receipt is with all the other paperwork and the winner bidder has a year's warranty on the part.
