1951 Buick Special Deluxe, Model 41-D. Mostly original car with chrome and stainless steel bright work redone over 20 years ago. Previous paint and bodywork shows imperfections but the car presents very well. All glass is intact with no cracks or ‘fogging’. The interior (headliner, seats, door panels) is original, showing some wear, especially the driver’s seat. Full loop pile carpeting was installed prior to my purchase in 2000 and still looks fresh. New plugs, wires and carburetor kit installed summer of 2014 as well as new radial tires. New transmission seals installed in the last 2 years. Other work done includes new water pump and hoses, rebuilt fuel pump, new battery. The car drives beautifully with no evident problems. The car is always garaged (non-heated) but fires up immediately after severe Michigan winters.
