Vehicle Detail

1972 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER CST ENGINE: SBC 305. Lunati mild solid roller cam. Solid roller lifters. Aluminum timing chain cover. Adjustable cam button. Hypereutectic pistons. Pressed wrist pins. Polished cam. .30 over bore and hone. Roller rockers. Custom valve covers with removable top to adjust lifter clearance. GM re-manufactured heads with new seats and valves for lead free gas. Edelbrock performer intake manifold. Rochester 4 barrel carb (re-manufactured). Mallory mechanical advance distributor (rebuilt – electronic, not points) New engine has less than 300 miles on it. Burns clean. AMSOIL break-in oil currently in engine. Have new oil filter and AMSOIL to replace once break in period is over. OLD ENGINE: I still have the original engine and heads. Pictures included. Matching numbers. Engine manufactured 24 April 1972, approx 3:00PM. Could run (was running good until lost lobes on cam) but should be bored. Cylinders have a ridge. Some previous owner did not break-in a new cam. Lost 3-4 lobes on the cam. Heads will need to be re-sleeved – valve stem guides are much worn. Looks like some just threw in a new cam, intake and carb. Looks like original engine has about 130K miles on it. REPAIRS: 1. Rear axle seals replaced. 2. Glove box liner replaced. 3. Instrument panel bezel replaced. 4. Heater core replaced. 5. Brake vacuum booster replaced. 6. Power steering pump replaced. 7. Some seals replaced around doors and removable top. 8. Battery tray replaced. 9. New AGM battery installed. 10. Under hood and engine compartment painted. 11. Brakes serviced. MODIFICATIONS: 1. A/C condenser, pump, brackets and lines removed. Evaporator left in tact. All A/C parts were saved and are in storage. 2. “NORTHERN” or similar radiator with electric fans installed. Original fan housing, fan, spaces and such all saved and in storage. Dual electric fan with adjustable temperature ON/OFF relays. 3. Alternator replaced with a MASTER GM one wire alternator. Original alternator brackets saved and in storage. Do not have the original alternator nor the regulator. 4. Headers – wrapped. Do not have the original exhaust manifolds. 5. Flowmaster exhaust. Do not have the original exhaust line. 6. Serpentine belt from an early 90’s Chevy van. I have all the original pulleys and brackets. 7. 3 inch lift. BG Goodrich 33 inch tires. Have 80% or more life on the tires. Also have spare tire and rim. Spare has 100% life on the tire. 8. Starter kill switch installed in lockable glove-box. OTHER INFORMATION: 0. Everything works included gauges, door locks, stereo, etc. Nothing is inoperable. 1. Rochester carb was professionally rebuilt. Secondaries need adjusting, slight lag on them. 2. Electric choke on the carb is not connected. Just needs to be plugged in and adjusted. Blue wire for choke is hot. 3. Tranny leaks a little. Probably from filler tube seal. 4. Minor leak on transfer case. 5. Original seats. Driver’s side is missing the plastic seat back. Both seats need re-upholstery. Currently have covers. 6. Registered through September 2016 (pix have 2015 tags, forgot to install the new tags).
