1953 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton Pickup A great example of an American Classic Pickup. This is a popular classic truck for the car enthusiast. I have had this truck for 14 years, 13 of those years it has been stored in my barn, pulled it out about a month ago, installed new battery, drained and replaced fuel, (it will need other fluids changed) it started right up like it was never put away, so I guess you can call this a barn find, my barn. The new 6 volt battery provides power to the foot starter, which starts the 216cu inch engine.Engine was rebuilt at about 58,000 miles, The 4sp transmission with floor shifter, delivers power to the stock eight lug split rims.Tires are very old but in good shape (one needed 5lbs of air after 13 years in the barn) Drum brakes all around. The interior is original style and all gauges, light switches and wipers are in working order. All roll up windows are in working order and glass is in very acceptable condition with exception of vent wings have cracks but are in one piece. Additionally, the heater can heat the cab nicely for fall or winter driving. All exterior trim looks really nice and acceptable. The base green paint and body is very acceptable (was repainted at one point, guessing about 30 years ago) and shows minor wear. The wood bed is in great condition. It was replaced at one point. I have not found any rust or evidence of ever having any rust or body work other than paint. This truck is in great original condition, almost 100% except for the paint and the wood in the bed. It is in great shape for being almost 70 years old. It is a beautiful un-restored truck. I can be available for scheduling transportation or pickup. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.
