Up for auction is 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe Engine is a turbocharged 2.3 with manual 5 speed. Engine runs great and transmission shifts good with solid clutch. General maintenance has been done, fuel filter, cap and roter, wires, and plugs. Some updates are walbro 255 fuel pump, remote TFI, 130 amp alternator, optima battery, MS2 programmable engine management with many options including dual fan control, boost control, wide band fuel control and more. This brought the car into current times and gives control over future upgrades. Include is the stock computer, Vein meter and air box. Car has upgraded front mount Spearco intercooler with polished aluminum lines and real Tial Blow off valve. Included is the stock intercooler. Exhaust is 3" down pipe into dual 2.5" stainless Borla mufflers. Very nice sound. Also have the stock down pipe with new magnaflow cat. Wheels are 17" 10th anniversary wheels with Toyo Proxes tires that have 70% tread left. If interested, Have original wheels with new Flaken tires. Brakes are 4 wheel discs and stop good. Car is lowered with factory mustang Bullitt springs.Included is the stock springs. Exterior is in good shape but not perfect. It does have some chips and scratches. The passenger fender top has some minor indentations but someone like dent pros could take care of. Paint overall is good for age. Interior is in great shape. The seats have no tears and not faded. There is a hair line crack starting on the driver side dash near speaker. All windows function good including sunroof. AC was converted to 134a but leaked out. I have a replacement line and would need a new belt. The car has always been in California and never on salted roads. There is no rust and the undercarriage is very clean. On Aug-14-15 at 17:54:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I have received a few questions about the MS2 engine management. It is a plug in directly to the stock unmodified harness and can revert back to stock computer easily. The stock narrow band O2 senser was removed and a new AEM wideband sensor was installed using the stock O2 plug. The wide band also has a real time gauge display. More info on the MS2 (PIMP) at Stinger performance web site. The car runs much better and quicker boost response with the system plus it is essential to be able to tune for future mods.
