Vehicle Detail

2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab with TRD Off Road and SR5 option packages. Being a six speed manual, double cab truck; it was only available with the short box. Toyota doesn't really have a lot of options beyond those packages but here's a quick run down: - 4.0L V6. - 6 speed transmission - Electronic locking rear (it has never been engaged) - Tow package (which doesn't include the brake controller on these) - Bilstein shocks - Cruise Control - PW/PDL - 6 CD, in-dash changer - Sliding rear window - Toyota Bed Mat and Bug Deflector Specific information about the truck: It has that world-famous Toyota reliability. I bought the truck with a little over 3,000 miles in May of 2007 as a certified pre-owned. It now has 146,226 miles (still gets driven from time to time, but is no longer used daily). The only issue it ever had was a leaking axle seal that was replaced by Scranton Toyota a little over a month ago, along with the rear brakes. I put new tires on it about 6,000 miles ago. I just changed the oil in the truck (no oil changes were ever skipped or over the recommended intervals). It had fresh spark plugs and air cleaner in November and front brake pads and rotors last fall. Never used Off Road!!! I have the title in my hands, free of all liens and in MY name. It comes with all three keys (two normal keys and one valet key) and two working remotes. So, what's the bad. If you're looking for a Tacoma then you know that there's a few recalls for Tacoma's. The big recalls are the frame and leaf spring. The frame recall basically fit into three categories as explained to me by Scranton Toyota: - Frame is fine, we'll spray it a rust inhibitor on it (no frame for you). - Frame needs to be replaced, but it's NOT in a critical location. You'll get a FREE frame and brake lines, ETA five-six months away. - Frame is rotted in a critical area and the truck isn't drivable. My understanding is you get a rental car and you move to the front of the line. This truck fits into the "you're getting a frame, but it's in a non-critical area, so you'll have to wait." The good news is, it's already on the list at Scranton Toyota for the recall. They told me that you get a rental while they work on the truck, as it takes time to complete the swap (they said a week, I heard Motorworld is down to one or two days). The only reason I didn't wait to sell until after I got the frame swapped is I was already looking at new trucks when I dropped the Tacoma off for the axle seals. That's when they did the recall check. There is also a leaf spring recall and they hope to have the leaf springs available by the time the frame is in. My leaf springs were okay according to the service department at Scranton Toyota. According to the recall note, if they're bad they'll replace them the current style while waiting the updated parts to be released. Toyota is really doing this the right way. I've owned the truck for eight years, if you have any questions, just ask. NADA Clean Retail is $18,850 (see pic) KBB Good Condition Retail is $16,258 (see pic) I'm not looking for trades so please don't offer. The truck is for sale locally and if it sells locally, all bids will be cancelled. Test drives are welcomed. Thank you for looking. On Aug-14-15 at 03:23:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: The truck has a manual six speed transmission.
