This is my Subaru Outback that has served me very well. It died a few weeks ago. I was sitting in traffic and the engine started bucking & shaking like it was running on one cylinder. It wouldn't really go over 40mph & some white smoke started to eek out. I had it towed home. There isn't anything leaking. It starts up & runs very rough still. A few mechanic friends have speculated it might be the torque converter?? Here are a few things I have done to the car in the past year or so:- New radiator- New ignition coil- New knock sensor- New plugs & wires- New tires- New rear shocks All accessories worked, other then the engine it was impressive at 307k miles. I do a LOT of commuting & bought the car with 32k from the dealer. This thing was amazing; seriously the most expensive repair was the radiator (done by the dealer) and that was it. So whoever wants it for either parts or to test their hands at a repair here you go. I would also consider interesting trades, why not. Needless to say you would need to have it towed out of here.
