I have owned this car for the past 10 years and have enjoyed every mile. Always garage kept, never driven in winter and very well maintained. Like every M3 super-tuned by BMW's in-house motorsports division this car offers more power, better brakes, and sure handling. Being an M3 convertible it has a fully-lined soft top with one-button operation, folding cleanly away. The pop-up roll hoops are engineered to provide automatic overhead protection if sensors detect a bit too much body roll, not something often felt in a car with the M3 suspension, which replaces the standard 3-series cars’ springs, shocks and anti-roll bars, with almost race quality components. The heart of of this M3 is a 3.2-liter, dual-overhead-cam, 24-valve inline six-cylinder, oil has been changed every 3000 mile with full synthetic each time. It cranks out 240 horses, and 225 pound-feet of torque with its 5 speed automatic transmission. This M3’s signature torquey, creamy-smooth power delivery is truly a delight. Braking is provided by the powerful, ABS-equipped, 4-wheel discs and additional traction for both track and street is provided by standard all-weather traction control, and a limited slip differential. The original sticker price for all this luxury, performance and fresh air was $45,700 in 1998. The car is in great shape, showing normal wear for its age. It is accident free with a clear title. Over the past several years I have had the radiator, brakes, tires, shocks and water pump changed by BMW. The headlights were upgraded to euro spec HID's, the optional check control warning light appears when the headlights are turned on because of this upgrade. Everything works as it should and its in great shape. Tires are Good Year Eagle F1's. I do reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.
