Vehicle Detail
Coming by these Volkswagen Westfalias nowadays seem to become more and more difficult. I am the fourth owner, and this van has spent most of it's life in Minnesota. (Don't be driven away by that though) As you can see in the pictures I have included the small rust spots that you can easily fix with a Paint-Scratch kit that I will include. In my time of owning it I was able to drive it 1,120 miles from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Nashville, Tennessee. The reason why I am selling this van, is because I am currently a full time college at The University of Utah and the upkeep of these vehicles are more than what I thought. During the beginning of Summer, I had thought that I would be able to maintain a full time internship that was unpaid, as well as resorting a 1977 Jeep Wagoneer, 1952 Dodge Truck, and 1972 Jeep J-10. With little time to pay attention to this vehicle, I believe that there is somebody more fit to do the job. Overall this Westfalia is in immaculate shape. With everything original (seats, curtains, carpet, table, to the rubber floor!) You would not believe that it is 28 years old... One of the extras this comes with are two bug nets that attach to the sliding door, and trunk. While owning this van I was able to have the follow done...-New struts, Replaced front left brake caliper & brake hose, brake pads, front right rotor, replaced both rear cylinder, brake shoes and drums brake lines, air-condition recharged, Right front and rear bumper cap, Ignition coil, LP tank filled, hitch-ball, Converted AC to 1349, Replaced starter, Replaced water hose and cleaned cap and rotor, CB Radio, front left tire, decals, &cigarette lighter USB plugin Before listing this van as well I was able to have it looked over front to back by a Foreign Traffic Mechanic, and these are some issues...-Fridge does not keep cool (however using an icepack works), Rust spots, Only back 2 speakers work, Drivers side step in (Which I was beginning to work on, but you can fix it with my paint scratch kit I had purchased from GoWesty..Step in pad is in the car), Front left upper control bushing, Exhaust/ Hanger straps, turn signals work although there might be a bad ground in the right one, and a leak in the y pipe. If you have any questions please feel free to ask I will answer as soon as I possibly can. Also I have a very well organized and detailed binder of all the work that has been done on this vanagon since 2009. Happy bidding! Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code
