This is a 100% totally RUST FREE 1982 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel which is documented three previous owners and has always been owned ONLY IN ARIZONA. The dove gray paint appears to original and not faded. There appear to have NEVER been any type of repair or repairable damage to this car in it's lifetime and since the finish is so good it must have been garage kept most of its life.It also has a wonderfully preserved original interior.The car runs and drives fine but like most of these cars it is notoriously slow off the start. This one is no exception. Once it gets going it runs, drives, steers and shifts fine. It could be a vacuum leak, I don't know. It has 288,000 original miles on it so it is not new. The good;1. Check the photos of behind the rear wheel, the rocker panels, and inside the rear wheel well. This car is body perfect in every way.2. Four NEW TIRES3. Interior is exceptional. When we got the car it still had the original sheepskin full front seat covers on and there were full carpet covers throughout the car. The rear seats may not have ever been sat in. The seats, carpets, door panels, and headliner have virtually no wear and NO RIPS of any kind.4. Power windows and sun roof operate well. Rear driver door window needs a new switch.5. The dove gray finish appears to be ORIGINAL, the car does not appear to have ever been painted and the finish is shiny and not faded. The pin striping has minimal wear in the very front.6. There is an additional extra fuel tank the BOLTS into the trunk that you can get for $100. This appears to have been dealer installed, we took it out but leave it as an option. The not as good;1. There is grime and dirt in the engine bay from oil leaks. The valve cover gasket at least needs to be replaced. The engine bay should clean up with a pressure wash, the paint beneath the dirt is solid and also original.2. The car is slow off the line like all of these cars. Once it gets going it runs fine and shifts well but it is slow to start.3. Not all the switches, lights, etc work but most of them do. The door locks don't work. The typical 80s Mercedes stuff.4.
