I was building a replica of the 68th ZL1 with all of the correct options of which I spared no expense . This car includes a completely restored body and rolling chassis ( with some final block sanding ) ready for paint . The original undercoating was removed the floor and wheel wells were then cleaned and new undercoating was applied . The sub frame and rad support were media blasted and then painted in semi gloss black . The rear is a fully restored GM 12 bolt with 4:11 gears . The springs are restored GM 5 leaf springs in the rear . The fuel tank is GM NOS . The fuel lines and brake lines are stainless steel . The brakes are already bled and working properly . The wiring harness is completely new repo like the original . The steering is GM quick ratio steering . The radiator is a repo 4 core curved neck . The hideaway headlights are repo with the vacuum tank and actuators . The wiper motor is a restored original RS with a repo headlight washer pump . The master cylinder is a restored original for a BB . The BB heater box is NOS . The cross member is an original restored for a BB . The motor stands are NOS BB . The speedo cable location comes out correct for a BB . The car was originally a 307 automatic car that I was converting to an aluminum block ZL1 , 4 speed car . The hole in the shifter tunnel is a 100 % correct location for a 69 Camaro Hurst shifter . The clutch and brake pedals are restored originals . The clutch assembly and reverse lockout new repo . The exhaust is a reproduction chambered exhaust . The taillights are very nice original with repo backup lights . The instrumentation bezel is the best repo with the speedo and tach original restored . The clock is a new repo . The AM radio and speaker are restored and original to the car . The original green interior is very nice which includes door and quarter glass panels , front and rear seats , console and headliner is still in . The carpet needs to be replaced . I am including 2 cans of Cortez silver Paint . The glass is all original to the car . The stainless is professionally restored and ready to install . The car is a done rolling chassis with nothing to finish underneath except to tighten the exhaust and maybe some miner adjustments .
