Vehicle Detail

Selling my 2005 VW Golf GTI. Current mileage is right at 170,000. Red color, 17" premium wheels. Premium sound system. 1.8t turbo charged engine. MPG is still 29/34. Manual/5 Speed I am looking to sell because I am moving to Vermont (Rural Vermont) in two weeks and I bought a Rav4 to handle the winters and non cleared roads up there. Don't need the GTI, and need the money for moving now. I'm going to be incredibly detailed in my description of what is good and bad about this car because I am looking to sell this car quick and I don't want to waste either of ours times. The Good, The Bad and The UglyThe Good:Good mechanical shape, very little rust as it spent most of its life in Florida and then Colorado (both no salt states). Loaded with heated leather seats, heated side mirrors, power locks and windows, and a power sunroof (which all still work great). Interior leather and trim work is in very good shape for its age and mileage. Runs very well, still fast and still handles awesome. Suspension is in good shape, and the brakes were very recently replaced. Comes with a spare set of steelies with snow tires on them. Engine only has 130,000 miles on it. Spent its whole life on premium gas and synthetic oil with regular maintenance. Does not consume any fluids. NO check engine light. Wipers, washer, cruise all still work. Clear title, current registration, will pass inspection in NYS.The Bad:A/C is currently not working, have not tried a recharge kit. I just drive with the windows and sunroof open. Back hatch does not open from the outside. The tumbler is broken, so your key will not open it and the connector between the electric motor opener (which still works) and the latch went with the tumbler. You can open it from the inside currently, and to fix it requires a new tumbler from the VW dealer. Costs about $75. The tumbler on the driver's door is also broken, same deal as hatch. Pretty cheap part. Remote lock fob does not work anymore. Batteries are good, but needs to get resynced to car. (All of those could be done in one shot at a dealer pretty easy). Vehicle history will show one accident in the car's life. Back in 2008, the car was rear ended by a drunk driver in the middle of the night while parked on the street. All damages were repaired completely, and there is no frame damage. But it will show up on the history if you do a carfax. The Ugly:As the car is 10 years old and pushing 200,000 miles, it exhibits your common age and wear related cosmetic issues. The plastic spoiler on the front under the bumper has come off, and has popped the bumper off the very edge as well. Two very minor dings/dents, one by the drivers door (from a cart), and one on the passenger quarter panel (from a deer). Some scratches commensurate with age.Oh Crap handle is missing on drivers side. Handles missing from center console latch and glovebox latch. Headliner is starting to come down a little bit in back (does not interfere with rear vision). Passenger side mirror replaced with black aftermarket (does not match color). That is pretty much the rundown on the car. You shouldn't find any big surprises if you come out to see it.
