Vehicle Detail
This is a tale of two trucks...operational versus body rust. This 1999, F350 Super Duty, 4 Wheel Drive, V10, Automatic has only 68,000 miles on the motor, works and runs great, and has been used for four seasons to plow snow and spread salt in Tennessee. Prior to 2011, it's home was Michigan where it picked up its rust issues. Although the plow has been removed by owner, much of the structure and wiring to support a snow plow remain; the hitch mounted salt spreader has also been removed and is not for sale. The V10 engine runs great and has many new parts to include exhaust gasket, radiator, fuel injection rack, pulleys and serpentine belt. The oil check dipstick tube is broken off and needs replaced (new one comes with purchase) and the A/C does not work. A full vehicle battery shut off has been installed. The heavy duty automatic transmission has been serviced and works fine. The 4wd system front hub was replaced, the shifter works hard but the 4wd system works well. It has dual wheels duals and tires, all tires in fair shape. The PTO system works well, the hydraulic reservoir has a slight leak and is rusted, 4 hydraulic hoses replaced. Cab and upholstery are in fair condition for a work truck; holes from previously mounted equipment are evident. Frame sports heavy rust but is structurally sound, floor pans are rusted but still intact, door panels are heavily rusted, front quarter panels and hood are fine. 10 foot dump bed works fine, however the floor will need replaced. The bed's cross members are in fair condition, spreader tailgate is intact and works. The dump bed sports working amber light, two rear work lights and tarp system (fair condition). The attached (easily removable) full width, auger type salt spreader works fine, spinner works fine (slight leak), auger has heavy rust, bearing replaced and has a cover for when not in use. All controls for both dump bed (up/down) and salt spreader (on/off and auger/spinner settings) are inside cab and work fine. With some tender loving mechanical care, this truck and engine have many useful years left. Vehicle in Crossville, TN. 2 sets of chains available for optional purchase.
