Vehicle Detail
For sale by original owner. Won Ontario Road Rally (TSD) Championship in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and has been a daily driver since. (Not a caged car!) No engine or suspension modifications (other than grease nipples installed in rear struts to get rid of the dreaded “clunk”). Clutch replaced 40,000 km ago. Timing belt done at 160,000. Reese trailer hitch. Stock BBS wheels with summer Toyo tires plus Blizzak winter tires on ASA alloy rims. Rally accessories included: Primitive Rally engine/transmission aluminium skid plate, rear diff armour, Timewise 798A Computer (the absolute best TSD computer ever made!), Yaesu dual band radio, fibreglass hood pod with four 185watt, 10-inch PIAA lights with quick connect fittings (one minute to install). Typical dents, dings and scratches. Krown sprayed annually with no rust perforation. Note: suspected leak in head gasket, due to small amount of oil found in coolant. No coolant found in oil, and car has never overheated, even in stopped traffic during sweltering weather. Still kicks like a five dollar mule. Air conditioning just serviced. 242,900 km = 145,740 miles. Note: oil analysis report from 220,000km posted in photos, showing no issues. I have been getting a few questions which I would like to give more info about here: First of all, some of you do not understand the difference between TSD rallying, which is what we did with this car, vs performance rallying, which is what you see on TV. TSD (time-speed-distance) rallying is also known as navigational rallying. The winner is determined by the most Precise timing throughout the entire course, not by fastest time. The roads are open to the public and you can't do anything illegal or drive like a maniac, you just have to keep on perfect time while finding the encoded route. Yes the roads are often gravel, the rallies are sometimes at night, and it can be hard to keep up to perfect time; but it's not "racing" like in performance rallies. That is why I stressed that this is not a caged car. It is a street legal vehicle and a daily driver as well. Secondly, some of you are concerned with getting a car to the USA. On the listing, eBay has put a link to get "vehicle shipping quote" which I believe takes you to uship.com. There are likely many other companies which can help you. The closest border crossing to me is at Niagara Falls, Ontario; and if necessary, I would be willing to drive there and meet you or your transporter, once I receive payment. From there it will be your responsibility to get it to Niagara Falls, New York, and on to wherever you want it. Alternatively I would be willing to meet you at the Toronto (Pearson) International Airport with the car, if you can work out the paperwork to drive it home yourself from there. Toronto is about 2-3 hours drive from Buffalo, NY depending on traffic. Remember there is no reserve on this auction, so one bid could take it.
