Vehicle Detail

For sale is my gorgeous 1972 Skylark Convertible. I love taking this car to the local car shows and just crusing around - I get thumbs up everywhere I go! This beauty has always been garaged, and only driven during the summer. Everything on this car is original except the radio, but I have the original radio and it will come with the sale. Factory 350 runs strong and TH-350 3 speed automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth. Equipped with factory Air Conditioning and it works, but will need to be recharged. The interior is in excellent condition with no tears and the dash pad has no cracks. The body is straight with no dents. The paint does have some scratches and there are a few bubbles coming up from the lower front drivers quarter (see picture). The frame, floorboards, and trunk are all very solid! The car is very quiet, but does have an exhaust leak - I believe it is coming from the passenger side exhaust manifold. 91,000 original miles, but that will go up because I am going to keep driving it until the day it sells. The power top works great and is in good condition, but there is one three inch tear on the drivers side (see pictures). All the lights, and signals work. Do not hesitate to contact me through ebay with any questions or a request for more pictures. I can also take a video of the car with my iphone and send it to you. Vehicle is sold as is with no warranties implied. I have sold a lot of cars on eBay all with positive feedback, I will help you ship the car anywhere in the US or overseas. On Jul-06-15 at 15:29:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a lot of questions over the last couple of days and wanted to post some of them with the answers and give an update on the vehicle maintenance . 1) Will you end the auction early? No, but I updated the auction with a buy-it-now price of $10,000. That is my bottom dollar and reserve. If the car doesn't sell at that price I am going to keep it. If you want the car click the buy-it-now. 2) Can you prove that 91,000 is the original miles? I am the third owner of the car and have some receipts from the previous two owners that have the mileage recorded on them. Yes the mileage is accurate. 3) Has the car been repainted? Yes, I can tell the car has been repainted, but the person I bought it from said it was done when they bought it 20 years ago in 1995. 4) What is your phone number? 612-360-5142 5) Does the car leak any fluids - see vehicle maintenance below. Vehicle Maintenance - Just completed changing the spark plugs (cap and wires are in very good shape). - Changed the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic 10W30 Wix filter and Fram Air Filter. - Found a few drips of transmission fluid under the car coming from the transmission pan gasket. Changed the transmission fluid, filter, and gasket on Saturday. Drove the car 75 miles and there are no leaks at all from the car. Took pictures while I had the transmission pan off and can email them (already at my 24 pic max on eBay). I found some numbers on the transmission when I had the pan off D 6261065 - 7 above it in smaller numbers is 132 and 289. - I believe the exhaust leak is coming from the gasket about 4 feet from the passenger exhaust manifold. Specifically, there is a gasket on the exhaust under the passenger floor board. I called the local exhaust shop and am going to have it changed out and welded on Wednesday night - will post an update Wednesday night if the car is still for sale. - Tested the A/C and it will need to be charged. It starts to blow cold, but then gets warm. Let me know if you have any questions, want more pictures or video. Thanks!
