I just took this off of the road this morning, as I just purchased a newer vehicle. the van is a 2002 Ford Windstar LX 7 passenger van 6 cylinder motor. The van just passed inspection in March. It has always started for me, even in the dead of winter, but the body is getting warn. There is rust on the bottom sides of both slide doors, there is front end damage on the driver side that cracked the body plastic as shown in the picture not affecting anything but the body plastic. Overall, the body is in fair condition. The back, passenger side wheel well has been professionally welded due to rust. the back wiper doesn't work, neither does the air conditioning without filling it up after each use. Also, the passenger side door no longer opens due to a rust spot where it slides. Transmission shifts ok. Overdrive slipping. As far as the good news, the van always starts & runs. I just replaced the coil, and fixed the lean codes on bank 1 & 2 for the inspection. there is still one engine light on, but it passed inspection with that on. the last time I had an engine light, I changed all the plugs, wires, filters, & bought a new gas tank cover. You can reset the computer and drive for 100 miles, and it usually goes away after that. The back tailgate opens to remove both slide out seats if you want to load up something, and there are "clips" on the back to hang grocery bags. This has been a very reliable van for me, but I'm retiring her as I'm do for an upgrade. I had my mechanic disable the anti-lock brakes also, so you will see a "dummy" light on the dash for that. Oil has always been changed regularly. Also has roof rack, and electric key fob works & so does the alarm. Seats are in good condition, just dusty, back 2 rows of seats are removeable. This would be a great van if you are in the demolition derby, because you can beat the heck out of it and it will still run. All lights work, windshield ok, tires are worn, but rims ok, all windows and seat motors work front & back. Back heater works. Extra storage holders on ceiling middle. Brakes replaced before winter.
