To settle estate a 2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible, blue exterior, off white interior, blue top. 78k original miles, 84 yr old gentlemen owned for 12 years, never driven in winter, body is 7.5/10 ( no rust or major dents but some minor scrapes and blemishes, looks great shined up) interior is 8/10 leather is "crackled" on driver seat but still soft and pliable. All other seats and dash are mint. Top material is in very good shape. No rips or tears. Nice heated back window. Boot is in trunk and could use a cleaning. Car sat for 2 years after owners death. We have replaced ABS/TC module ( a common fault, BBA reman unit, $800, works great) gas tank drained, new plugs and mass airflow sensor, oil change and filter, fuel filter, new vented battery installed. Brand new $900 Michelin Pilot Sports on excellent OEM wheels. Car runs and drives great. No lights on of any type. It does need the following minor maintenence:Serpentine belt squeaks when cold and should be replaced due age-new belt includedHydraulic hose has a seep at top latch (common problem) top is currently up and latched, top operates properly otherwise, however hose needs to be replaced, Jag offers a repair kit for $200 and it is easy to do with simple tools.Power seat module for drivers seat needs either BBA Reman, used E bay module or swap with pax seat.Described to the best of my ability. Clean Carfax report available to serious buyers. Basically for about $600 plus a little labor you will have a really sharp nice driver! On Jun-30-15 at 19:35:41 PDT, seller added the following information: There are reflections in the passenger side paint above the body moulding. The car is not scraped or damaged it is just a reflection. The paint shines very nicely as stated in the ad there are some dings and minor imperfections from normal use by an elderly gentlemen. Regarding the timing components: I have no records to say whether or not any components have been changed. The car was serviced at the jaguar dealer at least occasionally from parts we replaced. The car had a jag battery, oil and air filter on it which were definitely not the originals. Perhaps a Jaguar dealer could tell you more about the service history, but the car was definitely not abused or driven hard. Plan on changing any components you deem necessary and bid accordingly.
