For sale here is a unique and rare find - a 1972 Ford Pinto Sprint. These cars were made to commemorate the 1972 Munich Olympics, and were built along with Mustangs and Mavericks. The package included special White / Blue color scheme and matching White / Blue cloth interior. This example is surprisingly well preserved, and comes from my father's collection that at one time had all three of the Sprints, and was featured in an issue of Legendary Ford Magazine. This car is in good mechanical condition, and has recently been serviced to include a rebuilt carburetor, new starter, starter solenoid. The car starts right up and drives, brakes, and steers well. Tracks nicely down the road. Engine is the 2.0 liter 4cyl with automatic transmission. The engine and engine bay are nicely detailed. This car is mostly original with one repaint in the original white color. The interior is all original down to the carpet, and the seats are overall in excellent condition. The odometer reads 29,000 miles, so we can assume it has 129,000 miles. These cars were made to be used and finding one today in good condition with these kind of miles is extraordinarily difficult. The paint is of nice driver quality and shows well. The car was originally delivered to Arkansas and although you can see some small areas of rust showing through the paint, the car is overall very solid. The doors shut nice and tight, indicative of a nice original car. The car even has its original Ford keys. Overall, this is a very nice driver car that can be taken anywhere and certainly gets a lot of attention whenever it is taken out. The car has always been garaged and well cared for while we have owned it. This is a very rare car - there is likely only a handful of these in existence and I would be surprised if many (or any) are this nice and original. We are asking $4,250 for the car which is less than our investment in it and what we have seen lesser cars sell for. We have sold several cars this year from our collection to happy homes and at fair prices and are looking to do the same here.
