Vehicle Detail

1964 Buick Wildcat Convertible. Runs, drives, stops...everything seems to work except the slide control for the heater, the back up lights, the front left turn signal/parking light and a rear interior light.. The power top works, but the top fabric needs replaced. The engine runs very nicely and does not smoke, overheat or make any unusual noises. I drove the car a short distance and the transmission shifts properly, the engine has great power, power steering works etc. Even the radio works. A prior owner did some amateur repair to the floor which should be redone with correct panels. There also appears to be some repair to the upper edge of the trunk pan and some other areas on the body. The frame appears solid. The exhaust is quiet. The car needs body work and paint. The lower front bumper has two areas where it appears something pulled on the bumper. The tires have almost full tread, but they appear to be old. The spare in the trunk still has the blue color on the whitewall. The interior carpet and door panels need some attention....the dash and seats look good. The odometer shows 41,923 miles, but the car is mileage exempt due to age. I don't know if any work was done to the engine, it idles and runs near perfect. The number stamped on the top of the block matches the VIN. I have the original owners manuals with the Protecto Plate. I also found the factory build sheet. There is also a red boot cover for the top and two red front floor mats. This is a restoration project car needing work .... it would be very impressive when completed. Payment must be made in full within seven days and a $500 deposit must be made via Paypal within 24 hrs of the auction close. The car must be picked up within three weeks of the sale date. On Jun-26-15 at 05:05:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a couple pictures of the passenger side of the car. Been getting questions about paint ...as I stated in the original listing, the car needs paint and bodywork. The paint looks shiny in the pictures, but it is blotchy, chipped, cracked etc. I set a low reserve price to reflect the condition of the car.On Jun-27-15 at 07:01:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Questions asked about driving the car home. While the car does drive, stop etc., I would recommend trailering the car. The tires are old and all systems should be thoroughly checked for safety. On Jun-28-15 at 06:15:03 PDT, seller added the following information: Questions about rust and body work...A assume the floor repair was due to rusted pans etc. The top is leaky and will need replaced. This is a 51 year old car that will need to be restored.
