2002 BMW F650GS Dakar On offer is this great riding, 2002 BMW F650GS Dakar. With 21,500 miles, the bike’s cycle parts were thoroughly gone through by the mechanic/owner over the last couple of years. He installed new seals in the forks, headrace bearings, and the swingarm was removed, refurbished and reinstalled. The engine was recently serviced including a valve job. The bike gets regular oil changes using synthetic oil. The result is a fantastically smooth riding GS. The bike was reworked with many upgrades, including: front engine crash bars, PivotPegz footrests, Touratech chain guard and caliper guard, luggage frames, though the luggage is not included, extended rear luggage rack, center stand, the hugely desirable Elka shock with remote preload adjuster. The previous owner had a minor accident, cracking some plastic parts. There was no frame or major damage, but the insurance claim was such that the bike was a write-off. The bike was properly repaired, but is offered with a clear salvage title. The bike rides really well. The engine starts easily and has good responsive power. The gears shift perfectly and all the systems work perfectly: ABS brakes, suspension and all electrical, including heated grips.
