This is a 1979 first generation Mazda RX7 that has not been licensed on the road since 1992 in West Virginia. It has been sitting in various locations since then, and came into our possession last winter. We don't have space for the car or the time to fix it up, so it should go to someone who wants to get it back on the road or use it for parts. It has suffered some dents while in storage over the previous years, biggest one being on top of the left front fender. It has surface rust underneath the car, since it has sat outside a bit of the time. There are small rust holes behind rear wheels, as pictured. The mufflers have been removed and replaced with straight pipe, so it is loud, needs real exhaust if using on highway. It does run well and the five speed manual transmission sounds good in all gears, clutch does work. Brakes apply and release, but are old and rusty. Car is equipped with AC, doubt if it works. Tires are old and dry rotted. Drivers door interferes with rear of left front fender when opening/closing. Dents are as pictured. Paint looks original, weathered. Driver's seat upholstery is worn, torn. Door panels kind of ratty. Interior is all there, just 36 years old and tired. Vehicle is still structurally sound. 1146cc rotary engine, carbureted. Headlights do go up and down properly. Recommend that the buyer haul the car on a trailer or flatbed, due to rotted tires and unreliable brakes.
