Looking for a good home with a serious Mercedes W116 M100 person. This car spent most of its life in California and for that has ZERO rust out in any of the usual suspect points - spare tire wheel well in the trunk, rockers both sides solid, floors and walls behind both front wheels, all 4 door bottoms as solid as the day in April 77 when this USA delivery car came off the line. All matching numbers engine, trans, and differential. Purchased as part of a four car clean out of a field o' W109 6.3's plus this red headed step child which must go. She sat in the arid desert sun for a long long time judging by the paint, the back seat top, and the dash. the factory optioned heat resistant glass seems to have saved the interior door window surrounds and panels (see photos) This auto wants the leather and backing replaced, repaint, and repair the M100 engine - the gentleman who sold me the package described the engine problem as - " has fuel injection problems". I wasn't really paying attention as all I wanted was the W109s If the car was a rust bucket we would simply remove the engine and drive train stack them and crush the chassis - this auto is solid therefore worth saving in todays market... low low reserve we need to make room for a dedicated and certifiable welding area w/ associated equipment.
