Vehicle Detail

Completely ORIGINAL FJ40. Has 83K original miles. This is a good complete original rig, good start for a restoration. It DOES need both passenger side and driver side front floor pans. Minimal rust on the remainder of the vehicle. It does run, I've installed a new factory fuel pump. emptied and cleaned out the gas tank. I've run it on jackstands through all the gears, both 2X and 4X-everything works. I have not had this very long. I waited for a completely original unit to come up for sale for a restoration project, now unforeseen circumstances forces sale. I had planned to drive it around town this summer and then begin the restoration. Everything has been greased, oils have been changed in both differentials and transfer case. brakes are good, front end seems a little loose and is probably original steering linkage. This is as completely original as they come. All wiring harnesses are intact and not cut up. If you are looking for a restoration project, this is a good start. SMALL MINIMAL RESERVE!On Jun-18-15 at 21:41:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Started it and ran it today, 6/18/15. Drove around the block a few times and it overheated. Determined the problem was the thermostat. I pulled it and dropped it in a pot of water on the stove and as suspected it didn't open. I have a new OEM thermostat and gasket on order, and will install it before the rig leaves. On Jun-20-15 at 16:02:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Ive answered the same question a few times so let me rephrase my above post. The rig didn't "overheat" I could smell it getting hot as I was driving around the neighborhood. I drove it home and parked it back in the garage. I determined it was the thermostat that was not opening. I have since replaced the thermostat and gasket, and everything is fine. There is no oil in the water, and no water in the oil. It stats and runs with the first turn of the key every time. I'm a very honest seller (feedback) and I have sold a handful of vehicles on here previously, you can bid with confidence that this is what I have advertised.
