VIN: 1HZ04S5BX263859 As the original owner, I purchased it while writing romance novels and travel articles. Many of its 120,600 miles were spent driving to and from the airport. Like my novels, it has had many stories to tell: how in spite of being kept covered rust developed near the windshield; how the dent mysteriously appeared in the rear; when did the clock stop running? where are the buttons that hold the tire well cover? how did the side mirror crack? and why did the trip counter stick? Still a fun, sporty drive, particularly on cool days (the air conditioner no longer works), it has never had major engine problems. When it was serviced, mechanics were always amazed at seeing the original equipment still working. For its 20th birthday it was repainted the original black and silver colors. New struts weren’t needed until around 2005. Just last year during servicing a new radiator was installed. It has never been in an accident. The seats are in pristine condition. The carpet has faded and shows normal wear. It slowly weeps oil and will need new weather stripping for both doors. The hatchback hydraulics don’t work. There is a tear on the dashboard and another on the hatchback. Selling it is similar to giving away a beloved pet, but it’s time for it to go to a new welcoming home.
